Leftists Whining About Trump on 9/11 Are Whiny Whiners Who Love To Whine

President Donald Trump addresses the nation on the 20th anniversary of 9/11.

Of his many talents, former President Donald Trump’s most entertaining is his uncanny ability to elicit fake outrage from those on the hard left. It seems that high-profile leftists are unable to keep themselves from jumping on any manufactured outrage he elicits. This is especially true of members of the activist media who secretly long for the days he was in office.

The 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks was no different. When Trump decided not to attend the ceremony at which President Biden and former President Barack Obama were present, some of these individuals blew a gasket. Others outright lied about Trump’s whereabouts on that day.

Journalist Steven Beschloss took to Twitter to whine about the fact that Trump gave commentary on a celebrity boxing match. He wrote:

That guy is spending his day commenting on a boxing match. Who would expect more? The people in this photo all love their country.

Occupy Democrats, at far-left organization fond of spreading lies on social media, also chimed in, pretending to be upset that Trump did not attend the ceremony. They wrote:

BREAKING: Trump and Melania refused to attend today’s 9/11 ceremony that was attended by Presidents Joe Biden, Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton and First Ladies Jill Biden, Michelle Obama, and Hillary Clinton. RT IF YOU THINK THAT THE TRUMPS ARE A DISGRACE!

Hugo Lowell, congressional reporter for the Guardian, also clutched his pearls:

Incredible. Trump had the option of attending 9/11 memorial ceremonies in New York, spokesperson Liz Harrington says — but deliberately chose not to attend

Last, but certainly not least, journalist Dave Catanese gave his two cents:

Former President Trump — absent from the 20th anniversary 9/11 ceremony in his own city.

So what gives? Why didn’t President Trump attend the ceremony? Surely watching Evander Holyfield get pummeled was not more important than commemorating one of the most painful events in American history, right?

As it turns out, Trump chose to spend time with first responders. He addressed the group, giving recognition to members of New York City’s police and fire departments who responded to the disaster. He also took some potshots at President Biden for his mishandling of the U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan.

One could criticize Trump for seeming to play politics on that solemn day. But those criticizing him would also have to explain why so many of their own used the day to portray America as a bigoted nation. They might also have to explain why so many of them downplayed the impact of the 9/11 terrorist attacks by pretending the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol were just as bad – or worse.

But we all know what this is, right?

It’s nothing more than meaningless whining coming from people who love finding things to whine about. Had Trump attended the ceremony, they likely would have complained that he decided to attend. Perhaps they would criticize him for blinking wrong, or sneezing – or not wearing a mask.

None of these people are actually offended that Trump didn’t attend the ceremony. They didn’t even acknowledge that he decided to honor first responders. The reason why is obvious: These people wanted to make it seem as if he didn’t even commemorate the tragedy that occurred 20 years ago. They sought to make their followers believe he was favoring a boxing match over honoring those who died in the attacks.

The activist media loves to lie by omission.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a U.S. president recognizing those who risked and sacrificed their lives to pull people out of the rubble in the wake of the attacks. These people saved lives and should be recognized by a president. Had Biden chosen to visit members of the NYPD and NYFD, these individuals would have had no complaints.

This is what happens when people are more concerned about scoring cheap political points than commemorating an event that, quite literally, transformed America’s way of life and altered the international political landscape. But can we really be surprised?
