The white progressives who seek to push fear and hatred in the black community must be exceedingly happy to have someone like NBA star LeBron James, who either wittingly or unwittingly helps them push their agenda. It seems that any time a just or unjust police shooting of a black man occurs, the athlete rushes to convince the public to believe that black men are constantly living in fear of murderous police officers who hunt them down on a daily basis.
You might have already heard about how James took to Twitter to issue a not-so-veiled threat to the officer who shot and killed Ma’Khia Bryant in Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday. (See: Lebron James Says ‘Hold My Beer,’ Threatens Officer Involved in Columbus Police Shooting)
In the now-deleted tweet, the Lakers star posted a picture of the officer involved in the shooting with a caption that read: “YOU’RE NEXT #ACCOUNTABILITY” with an hourglass emoji. Of course, he could have easily been referring to legal action against the law enforcement officials, but one could also interpret this as a threat of violence.
But this is not the first time James has exhibited this type of unhinged behavior in response to a tragedy. Shortly after the shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the basketball player told reporters that black people are “scared.”
“I know people get tired of hearing me say it, but we are scared as Black people in America,” James said. “Black men, Black women, Black kids, we are terrified.”
He continued: “If you’re sitting here and telling me that there was no way to subdue that gentleman or detain him or just before the firing of guns, then you’re sitting here and lying to not only me, but you’re lying to every African American, every Black person in the community, because we see it over and over and over.”
When Ahmaud Arbery was killed last year, James performed the same routine. When the footage showing his death went viral, he claimed that black people are being “hunted” every day. “We’re literally hunted EVERYDAY/EVERYTIME we step foot outside the comfort of our homes!” he tweeted. “Can’t even go for a damn jog man! Like WTF man are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?!? No man fr ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!”
Let’s face it. LeBron James is a fearmonger. Like white progressives and black Democrat grifters, he helps to promote an environment of fear among the black community. Like the global Black Lives Matter organization, he acts as a white progressive in political blackface. He uses his platform not to encourage rational conversations on the issue of police brutality, but to foment more rage and terror.
The truth is that black people are not being hunted every time “we step foot outside the comfort of our homes,” and he knows it. Not every black person is deathly afraid of police. However, most black people are concerned about the issue of police brutality and wish to see officers held accountable when they abuse their authority.
When people like James try to convince black people to embrace fear, they are hurting the cause, not helping it. Whether he intends to or not, he is only promoting the agenda of those who wish to see the country more divided and easier to control. That makes him no better than the white progressives who are pushing racial division.
