Bernie’s endorsement of former Vice President Joe Biden on Monday was supposed to be a live stream conversation between the two. First, viewers were astounded that Biden would require a teleprompter for what was simply a chat, and second, because even with the teleprompter, he still managed to mess it up.

Civil rights activist and co-founder of Real Justice PAC Shaun King was quite clearly taken aback. He took to Twitter to say:

I can hardly believe what I am watching.

In his conversation with @BernieSanders – @JoeBiden is clearly reading from a TelePrompTer.

It’s supposed to be a CONVERSATION.

I’ve never seen this happen in my entire life.

I’m surprised by King’s shock. Doesn’t Biden require a teleprompter for everything now?

The shocking part of it to me was that Biden still managed to get confused. In the clip below, Biden is reading “I will make an educator, an education that, in fact…” He catches himself and says, “Jill, my wife, is a professor at a community college.”

Wait, it gets worse.

Briahna Joy Gray, the former National Press Secretary for #BernieSanders2020, responded to King’s tweet. She wrote, “At one point, Biden said “next one.” Like he was signaling the next cue card.”

Bernie maintained a stoic expression throughout, but he had to be thinking, ‘how did I lose the nomination to a man who can’t carry on a nonconfrontational discussion without a cue card?’

Seriously, what is the Democrat’s plan here? This man would last about five minutes in a debate with President Trump. I shudder to think what a summit with Chinese President Xi or Kim Jong Un would look like.
