Gun control activist David Hogg was escorted out of the room during a House Judiciary Committee hearing on guns after he began shouting at lawmakers.
“Guess what? Those guns are coming from the United States of America. They aren’t coming from Mexico. They are not coming from Mexico. You are reiterating the points of a mass shooter, sir,” Hogg said at one point. “Sir, you are perpetuating violence.”
“Stop these things now,” he shouted, as security fully removed the former Good Pillow founder.

Hogg became known as a vocal advocate for gun control after the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, where he was a student.
“The guns in Parkland, Buffalo, El Paso, didn’t come from Mexico. They came from the US, and the shooters were inspired by racist, anti-black, anti-immigrant manifestos that rhyme with GOP talking points,” Hogg tweeted, along with a clip of him being tossed out of the hearing.

The 22-year-old quickly became one of the loudest voices against conservative solutions to gun violence, which has not been without criticism.
“I’ve never seen a person more exploit a tragedy for personal attention than David Hogg, and this is the United States of America, folks,” The Lafayette Company President Ellen Carmichael tweeted Wednesday.

Many other Twitter users also said that the viral moment was simply a publicity stunt.
“They know their 15 minutes are way over when they start pulling stunts for attention,” comedian Tim Young said.
