Doctor Who, a Staple of British Culture, Went So Woke He Can't Find Anyone to Regenerate Into

Get woke, go broke. Or in the case of a British superhero, run out of actors willing to play you.

The fall of the British show "Doctor Who" is one of the hardest ones for many people, and one of the turning points for many a nerd when it came to the wokification of media. The show has been going on since many elderly people were young, and despite being a British show, it developed its own cult following here in America that, at its height, became a cultural phenomenon.

But like everything else that was popular, the leftists in the entertainment industry began treating it like a soapbox to deliver all sorts of radical leftist messages, and the infection "Doctor Who" suffered was particularly nasty.

Not only did they make the Doctor submit to the altar of modern feminism, but they also made the Doctor an insufferable Mary Sue, then, when that repulsed audiences, they tried to bring back David Tennant, only to abuse that character by forcing him to be humiliated at the hands of the transgender movement. After that, they made the first black gay Doctor, which only ended up alienating fans more.

What's worse is that in between all of that, they rewrote the Doctor's origins so he was a young diverse girl from the start, flushing almost 60 years of lore down the toilet in one episode and insulting fans across the globe.

Fast forward to now, and it would appear that the once-revered show has fallen so far that it's having trouble finding anyone to play the role.

According to The Sun, we're only seven months away from the annual Christmas special — a beloved and looked-forward-to tradition in the Doctor Who community — and yet, they haven't begun production because they can't find anyone who wants to play the character now.

The reason?

No one wants their name attached to the show thanks to the disdain so many have for it now:

“The problem is that they have found it difficult to find anyone who’ll take on the part of the 16th Time Lord, partly because it now feels like a role that comes with all the baggage of the most recent series.

“There are fears that even if they do manage to pull something together, it is going to be a poor cousin to previous Christmas specials which have always been adored by fans.”

They have found it difficult to find anyone to be the 16th Time Lord, partly as it feels like a role that has all this baggage.

It's an incredible turn.

This used to be a role that was an honor to play. Being chosen for it made you a part of a canon that would see you go down in history. People would talk about you for decades, debate the value of your era, the qualities of your portrayal, and those who entered into the show while you were in the role would always refer to you as "their Doctor."

Now, no one wants to play it because the role has come with too much uncertainty and danger. You could find yourself despised by audiences, and the spite could carry into other projects you work on. It's just not worth the risk.

Keep in mind, this is just for the Christmas special. Former "Rose" actress and companion Billie Piper is set to take over the role of Doctor afterward, but this is also a sign of desperation. Falling back on nostalgia usually is.

Sadly, we may not see the return of "Doctor Who" unless the BBC shelves it for years and revives it in a different era. They've done it before when the Doctor had become too ho-hum for the audience, and I believe the show has entered that phase once more. The Doctor is a show full of potential. A stage for incredible storylines, characters, and philosophical exploration, but when it's forced into the narrow box of modern leftist ideological nonsense, it chokes to death.

And it is dead. Has been for some time. The BBC just keeps propping up the body like "Weekend at Bernie's" and puppeting the deadweight to affirm leftist values that fewer and fewer people believe.

So, in truth, no actor wants to play the role of a corpse.
