One of the things that never gets discussed about the left is how disadvantaged they are in the court of public opinion. I know that sounds backwards, seeing as how the left dominated the proverbial town square for ages, but consider all they had to do to make that happen.
The left has to work overtime, day and night, night and day, to control the flow of information. They have to own every outlet, make policies, enforce unfair TOS, and fabricate, fabricate, fabricate. The moment there's a leak in the dam, they have to work overtime to plug it, and failing that, they have to work hard to make sure their narrative dominates the truth.
Their hold, despite seeming strong, is actually so fragile that losing even one foothold is catastrophic to them. Case in point, the political winds of America changed the moment Elon Musk bought Twitter and turned it into X. Suddenly, the Western world's town square was a lot freer, and the left's narratives began falling apart with a speed they couldn't keep up with.
The left has to make sure everything is curated for the narrative to survive. Funny enough, this doesn't just involve censoring conservatives or basic facts; it also means keeping a tight leash on their own people, and making sure whatever they say and do helps. If it doesn't help, it has to be hidden as best as they can.
If you take Libs of TikTok on X, for instance, an account whose bread and butter is actually amplifying leftist voices, you'll see what I mean. The account specializes in displaying the raw, unfiltered, and unmassaged words of the left so that you can see the crazy and the stupid without any reality-bending. There's no lens to view it through. It's just the words, the intent, the context, and your own conclusions about it.
The leftist strategy is to control, censor, and corrupt the narrative. This takes a lot of effort, manpower, time, and money.
The conservative strategy is, and should always be, to let the left speak for themselves. It's low effort, costs very little, and needs almost no help.
Earlier this week, I openly disagreed with TPUSA's Yale chapter President and Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) about Hasan Piker's upcoming speech at Yale. I argued that if you really want to fight leftism, we should be practically shoving Piker to the microphone and giving him the floor:
Perhaps neither are aware, but Piker is swiftly becoming what the internet calls a "lolcow." It's a term for someone who is consistently embarrassing themselves through their everyday behavior. They consistently hang themselves via their crashouts and ridiculous opinions, which are often mixed with a narcissism that makes them overly confident when they do it.
Piker's star may be rising on the left, and even the legacy media has been practically worshiping at his feet, but this has been such a gift for the conservative movement because it basically affirms everything we've been saying about the modern left. They're radical, hypocritical, and undeniably foolish, which is Piker in a nutshell.

Lo! And Behold!
I was right.
Piker got up and spoke at Yale, and he gave unto us a gift. Praise for the USSR and grief that it fell, calling its fall "one of the greatest catastrophes of the 20th century."
Hasan Piker: “The fall of the USSR was one of the greatest catastrophes of the 20th century.”

If you break down what Piker is saying here, he's making the claim that Soviet Russia, with all its corruption, murder, international sabotage, and straight-up dehumanization of people, is what made the United States a better country. His claims that prostitution, suicide, and a drop in life expectancy were due to the loss of Russia's communism are completely false. A lot of that happened because communism had led people to that point, and it was at rock bottom.
Piker considers the West's economic boom, a lot of it technologically based, immoral, a nickname he gives "neoliberal greed," though it is just market forces doing their thing in a changing economic environment. He believes that government-controlled economic systems, which are historically and demonstrably corrupt, one-sided, and filled to the brim with greed, are a good thing.
Piker said something completely idiotic that made him and the Democrat Party that embraces him look ridiculous, and it's all because he was allowed to speak. As I write this, Piker is being dismantled left and right, and it's hilarious to watch.
