We've long considered the left a political entity, but after witnessing what the left has gotten up to just this month, can we honestly continue calling them that?
If you ask me, it seems like a collection of freaks who found out that their individual freakiness can thrive and even be pushed on the world if they just act as a freaky collective. Moreover, this insanity isn't relegated to the United States. The left of the Western world seems to have this shared delusion that indulging in their basest selfish behaviors is the highest goal one can achieve.
Allow me to show you what I mean.
In Ontario, Canada, the New Democrat Party (NDP) had a convention where Canada's left got together to talk about issues important to them. Given this is the left, and the most important thing to them is themselves, most of what was discussed was quite literally people's personal complaints and opinions about the event they were at.
You've probably seen some of these clips floating around, but just in case you haven't, here's a solid video containing various instances of that behavior. Just know that there are other videos out there of this event, meaning there were far more instances than just those displayed in this video.
It has come to my attention that today is Day Three of the 2026 NDP leadership convention and that yesterday was Day Two. I feel terrible about the mix up given the seriousness of the event and the gravity of the moment—so I've gone back and compiled some highlights from Day One. pic.twitter.com/eg65Z1VAPi

Notice everyone was talking about themselves, their impairments, their points of privilege, their issues, and complaints.
This convention was, in my opinion, more like a nerd con than a political gathering. At conventions like ComicCon or PAX, people like to dress up as their favorite characters and have fun, sometimes acting like them. In this case, the NDP attendees are cosplaying as people who are oppressed, disabled, and deserving of special treatment.
They don't care about the world they live in. They're not there to agree on a path forward for their political agendas. They're simply there to have their own delusions validated by other delusional people. Whatever the agenda was, whatever serious discussions were had, they all took a back seat to the attendees' need to have their egos stroked.
Here in America, we had the "No Kings" protest, which had a lot of the same kind of selfish idiocy. The magic on display here is that they were complaining about the "rule" of the duly elected Donald Trump, while, and I kid you not, they waved communist flags. The funniest clip is at the beginning of the article written by Nick Arama, which covered some of the more ridiculous moments. Some people were putting on a choreographed song and dance, while one of the lyrics to the song they were performing was "Democracy ain't a spectator's sport y'all."

Who was this going to convince?
No one. This is laughable. So much so that even a guy in the crowd walked right through the performance because he wasn't even taking it seriously. That said, the point wasn't to change anyone's mind or hype anyone up. The point was to be looked at. The point was to be the center of attention.
In another moment, a woman with a sign that said "NO ICE - NO WAR - NO KINGS" told a bunch of kids who were debating them that she hopes they're sent off to war and they "f**king die." A bizarre display of cognitive dissonance, but again, the point isn't to have an actual virtue to stand by. These people are there to scratch their personal itch, not make any real change.
Wild scene in Huntington Beach. A No Kings protester with a thick foreign accent screaming at kids on their bikes, telling them she hopes they all go to war and die.

She definitely does not sound American, and it raises serious questions about who's even in the country right… pic.twitter.com/NxzRBgVKKR
These are not serious people. They aren't there as members of a civilization. They're there to indulge artificial meaning and respect.
I've never seen a more pathetic display of the left's true self than March of 2026.
