I once got a gig writing for a gaming website called "The Escapist," but before I could even write a single article, the LGBTQ+ community found out I'd been contracted to write weekly pieces and carried out a campaign of bombarding the site's leadership and corporate owner with angry messages, threats, and bad PR. Eventually, the corporate owners sent a message to the managing editor saying I wasn't to write there at all.
It was one of the most infuriating things that ever happened to me, but it was also educational. It really put into perspective how much a singular social issue could make an entire society buckle under its weight. What's more, the math shouldn't have added up. The LGBTQ+ community was (and likely still is, despite the trend upping reports of that behavior) around three percent of the population. It shouldn't have had that much of a grip on our culture, but it did.
And it did because our culture allowed it. The terror of being the next victim of the online mob was palpable at the time. People were losing their jobs, being ousted socially, and their businesses were being destroyed because they didn't feel the need to throw a parade for anyone's sexual preferences or gender identity.
But as you know, the pendulum began swinging, and it swung hard. The despotism that was forced on our society by the LGBTQ+ interest groups eventually caused a pushback so fierce that it even caused major corporations with vested interests in promoting a "diverse and inclusive" workspace to back away, sometimes loudly.
Now, we've come to the point where there seems to be an open rejection of LGBTQ+ demands.
A game called Knight's Path, being developed by Jan Tichota and Aamn Chahrour, has been gathering some attention lately due to its incredible look and attention to detail, but also its realistic swordplay and low fantasy elements. The team is diligent about posting updates to their X account, and one such update notified would-be players that there will be romance options, posting the first of them on their account.
As you'll see, the woman is classically beautiful with blond hair, a pretty face, and a sweet smile. Her name is Amelie, and her design is refreshing given the number of Western developers who have been purposefully uglifying their female characters to avoid "unrealistic beauty standards."

Naturally, a wokescold popped into the comments to express his "hope" that some LGBTQ representation will be in the game.
To be clear, these messages aren't meant to be true expressions of wanting to see something in a game. They're rallying points for the mob to unite under and pressure creators and businesses into pushing the message for them, effectively becoming an unwilling delivery system. In the past, messages like these were effectively seen as demands that had better be followed or else.
And in the past, they worked. However, as the developers showed, the "or else" isn't scaring them at all, and the LGBTQ+ agenda isn't a part of their plan... fun is, though!
We care about gaming and fun not modern agendas

Naturally, this has caused the Left to go apoplectic. They've begun their campaign to discredit the game and shame the devs into oblivion, but it's not working. That one response caused the game to become more anticipated than ever. The attention it's getting was enough to get the developers to thank everyone for its increased visibility in the space.
Thank you, everyone!

Seeing Knight’s Path being talked about everywhere, carried forward by the algorithm, and reaching so many people is something we never even dared to imagine.
Thank you to everyone who has wishlisted the game. It truly means the world to us!
Now we’re…
I think it's safe to say that the devs have learned from watching what happened when this was tried on another game that ended up selling so well that a sequel was greenlit before the initial sales figures had been fully reported.
Back in 2023, the game Hogwarts Legacy came under attack by trans activists due to it being a J.K. Rowling property. The backlash against the activist community by gamers was so intense that the sales for the game skyrocketed well before release.

Meaning that the "LGBTQ+ warning that's not a warning" is actually now considered an opportunity, and it's one the Knight's Path developers utilized the moment it presented itself.
The once mighty LGBTQ+ activist mafia, which was able to make or break careers, is now reduced to being tools to boost visibility by being rejected publicly.
The pendulum swung hard.
