The Right Hasn't Learned How to Speak the Language of Women, and It Should Start

Readers will know that I'm highly critical of modern women, feminism, and our gynocentric culture but despite the vibe I might give off, it's my firm belief that women can be a grounding force in our society and capable of some incredible things.

Under the right circumstances, women can be society's better angels, inspiring us to be an honorable and more rounded society. I consider the infection of modern feminism to be one of the greatest tragedies to befall the West, because, for generations, women have been taught that pulling away from their natural tendencies and roles in society was the path to true happiness and an escape from the slavery their mothers were held by.

But the left's messaging has been incredibly effective. Feminism is so infectious that many women hold an unearned hatred toward men. They consider things like abortion a single issue worth deciding an entire election over. They've been convinced to leave the home and break the chains of motherhood, to no longer exist under the boot of a husband they have to depend on, and go into the corporate world...where they become dependent on a soulless corporation and are chained to a lonely, stressful work life.

You can see the result of this in our society. Women are more unhappy than they've ever been, with many reporting higher levels of anxiety and depression. Many openly regret buying into the feminist narrative as they begin getting dangerously close to aging out of their prime motherhood years. Their pool of suitable mates is shrinking faster and faster all the time, and thanks to the influence of the rules of hypergamy, that pool was already dangerously low for many working women.

To be sure, more and more women are waking up to the fact that feminism is a lie and that real happiness lies in embracing the natural urges and callings of their gender rather than fighting against them, but it's a slow-going process.

To be sure, it could be sped up, but this would require conservatives to realize something about its own movement.

A video uploaded to X by The Post Millennial's Savanah Hernandez spoke on the fact that conservatives are woefully ignorant when it comes to communicating with women. She wholly believes that what conservatives say about gender roles and women's issues is absolutely correct, but we haven't been very good at relaying this to women.

I think she's absolutely correct.

Right-leaning politics is very fact-based. It's got stats, figures, numbers, and more logic than you can keep up with at times. This is a very good thing and these qualities should make up the core of every argument and explanation from anyone right of center.

However, whenever you utilize these qualities exclusively, the primary crowd you're going to find listening is men. Men are very logical creatures. "Simple and logical" is our brain's bread and butter. This is why conservatism primarily appeals to the male of our species.

As Hernandez explains, this isn't going to be as effective for women who are more emotionally driven creatures. They feel their thoughts and understand something best when it affects their heart.

The left is very good at appealing to women because they understand that emotional appeals work wonders when it comes to convincing women of things. They don't focus on facts. They appeal to a woman's anger, fears, and anxieties. Feminism works so well to seduce women because it focuses primarily on matters of the heart and emphasizes feelings about things, not the logic of it.

Moreover, the left has had decades of appealing to women through television, movies, music, and more. Each medium bears messages that cause women to decide on issues based on how they feel about them.

What I'm suggesting is not that conservatism becomes a more emotionally-driven movement, but that we find better ways to communicate our logic and reason through the medium of emotion. For instance, it shouldn't be too difficult to push the idea of school choice among the women of America by making this issue personal for them. This is their baby's future on the line, and she deserves the best.

Lately, there's been talk about hormonal birth control's effects on women. It's definitely something worth talking about because the effects of hormonal birth control on women's bodies can be devastating. However, just saying that it runs down their ticking clock and makes them crazy isn't going to convince a young woman to stop taking it. In fact, it will probably only trigger a rejection of the point, of the person saying it, and of the party he belongs to.

Conservatives could better get this point across by telling a story about birth control that makes the point personal for the listener.

Women aren't stupid; they just speak a different language than conservatives are typically used to speaking. Many women in our society have been misled because they didn't hear anything to the contrary that appealed to them on a level they're more naturally attuned to.

I think once the right learns how to add emotional appeals to its arsenal, more and more women will begin drifting away from the left.
