The Left Is Working Hard to Censor and Control How You Interact With the Internet but You're in the Way

I want you to watch this video below that details quite a few of the big lies that were told about Donald Trump by the media. No matter how you feel about Trump, the important thing to pay attention to is the readiness and willingness of corporate media to tell falsehoods about him.

The video is over five minutes long because there are a lot of examples of this happening.

The reason we have these examples in the first place is because there was a way of finding the truth through the internet. People were able to seek, discover, and distribute the truth, quickly taking down the lie before it could truly become an established narrative.

Imagine what would have happened if we didn't have access to the truth. Imagine if the internet was so tightly controlled that none of the facts could find their way to the forefront. To this day, the narrative that Trump had done all these horrible things would still be circulating today.

In fact, we'd be awash with real misinformation. The Hunter Biden laptop story would still be "Russian disinformation." The COVID-19 pandemic would have been a lot more destructive as the truth about its origins, the vaccine efficacy, and more would not have been known, or at least more well known.

We've known through various discoveries over time that the government has colluded with Big Tech to make censorship of the people possible through company policies. The "Twitter Files" were an excellent example of this.

But now we have another example. As the Washington Examiner detailed, a DHS-tied "misinformation" researcher was involved in helping big tech craft these policies that allowed them to censor anything that the Democrat Party deemed dangerous:

A left-wing researcher who chaired a since-dissolved Department of Homeland Security “misinformation” panel accused of facilitating censorship directly advised social media companies on content moderation policies, Kate Starbird testified to Congress behind closed doors.

Starbird, a professor leading the University of Washington’s Center for an Informed Public to investigate “disinformation” and “misinformation,” has faced heightened scrutiny from House Republicans for her roles with the Election Integrity Partnership, which worked to suppress speech before the 2020 election, and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s defunct Misinformation and Disinformation Subcommittee. But Starbird had an even more significant open line than previously known with Big Tech — which apparently sought her guidance on approaching how to engage in content moderation.

As the Examiner detailed, CBS reported on Starbird's work but deemed not to disclose her ties to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), nor that the University of Washington, where she works, received a $2.25 million from the National Science Foundation to "mitigate online disinformation" in 2021.

Yet another fact that would have gone unheard of by the public were it not for this information being available for distribution online.

The effort to censor you goes even deeper as the Post discovered, down to affecting voting information:

During the transcribed interview with Congress, Starbird testified she hasn’t “done the math on” what percentage of the college’s center funding comes from the U.S. government. The Center for an Informed Public, which has also pocketed checks from left-wing foundations, teamed up in 2020 on the Election Integrity Partnership with an office at Stanford University. The EIP, which worked with CISA and the State Department-housed Global Engagement Center, flagged “misinformation” reports to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other platforms in 2020, data show. The FBI also collaborated with the EIP and the panel under CISA, which, in 2020, began “notifying social media platforms or appropriate law enforcement officials when voting-related disinformation appeared in social media,” according to the inspector general’s office for the DHS.

This is terrifying. What you're seeing is an active attempt by our own government to lie to and manipulate us with the help of corporate media and big tech companies, all for the benefit of one political party. This is one of the most heinous attempts at subjugation in the history of this country and given the Biden administration's open attempts to establish organizations within the government that dedicate themselves to policing information, you can bet that it's only going to get worse.

Here, in the digital age, information is your sword and shield. The left knows this and, as they do, are trying to strip your weapons from you to make you less dangerous and defensible.

Myself and the writers at this website aren't being hyperbolic when we tell you how dangerous this administration is. This isn't pre-election hype. This administration is dangerous. It's doing things that haven't been done before to the people that are inexcusable, and one of those is the open attempt at silencing their opposition in any way they can, be it through social media or lawfare.

This is one of the big reasons RedState has a VIP program. We've endured many attacks that target our ability to deliver news accurately, be it through attacks on our reputation, fruitless fact checks, and attempted hits on revenue. It's very hard to silence us when we have the backing of our readers, and we do what we can both on the front page and subscriber's pages to earn that.

And we're not the only website that endures these attacks. Any person, organization, or outlet that doesn't dance to the left's tune either has or will have to deal with these censorship efforts.

This is one of the biggest reasons Biden has to be voted out of office. This can't be allowed to continue. This kind of censorship can't be normalized. The internet is the greatest resource for information. Whoever controls it controls the minds and hearts of billions.

Borders can be closed and economies repaired, but a right once lost can only be won back with a lot of loss and tragedy.

At the end of the day, you are their biggest issue. They're most afraid of your desire to find the truth, distribute it, and sound the alarm. All the attacks on RedState and other sites are just attempts to get to you so they can try to manipulate you into seeing a false reality.
