Proof That When the People Go on the Offensive, the Left Is Quick to Retreat

The unspoken truth about radical leftists, at least among radical leftists themselves, is that they're cowards. They think of themselves as brave warriors but do nothing in the open without the security of being protected by a friendly mob or some sort of overwatch from a powerful group or institution they can run to when things get hairy.

However, the radical left has a problem in that they're infected with a level of unwarranted and unearned hubris. They've been taught to believe that they're better than everyone else, more moral than everyone else, and justified in their treatment of everyone else no matter what they do, even when what they do is abhorrent.

They severely overestimate themselves and their support, and whenever it becomes clear that they're not on the winning side, they retreat like cowards and hide behind block lists and privatized accounts.

I want to point you to a really good example, and it was reported by our own Sister Toldjah, who posted an article about an account that was attempting to harass Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling's family. An X account going by "Wizarding News" was attempting to punish Rowling for her uncompromising views about transgenderism's negative effects on women by posting pictures of her eldest daughter and grandchild.

Only it wasn't her daughter or grandchild:

The whole purpose of the account, which is allegedly run by "webmaster" and self-professed "gay nerd" Jeff Guillaume, appears to be to harass, mock, and whip up hate over Rowling because she refuses to be silenced. And because Rowling continues to stand firm, her family members have become targets.

On their Twitter feed, Wizarding News recently made a series of false claims about Rowling's eldest daughter, and even included a picture that they said was the daughter and granddaughter... but wasn't.

Rowling repeatedly urged them to take down the information, noting they were now harming people to whom she had "no connection." When the Twitter account refused, she said she was bringing in the lawyers.

This is a pretty amazing thing for Rowling to do. Rowling could have just embarrassed the account by making it clear that the pictures being posted weren't of her daughter but Rowling took the extra step of helping to protect the innocent woman and her daughter who were caught up in the crossfire by a careless activist.

The offending account eventually offered an apology, but it's clear the apology wasn't sincere. The person running it effectively tried to pass the blame off on others and took no accountability for actively attempting to put Rowling's family in danger, missing the mark, and putting an innocent family in danger in the process.

The interesting thing is that if you try to access the account, there's a good chance you won't be able to. "Wizardingnews" is hidden behind a mass block, meaning you can't access the account if your name wound up on a list of people considered undesirable by the radical left. The man running it deleted his claims in the face of Rowling's offensive legal threat and made sure no one but those approved could comment on his post.

The blocklist is definitely a cowardly move, but what's even more cowardly is that the man refuses to take responsibility for his mistake. He won't own up to the fact that he really crossed a line, which is fine. He can pretend he's not in the wrong all he wants. All that matters is that he displayed his cowardice in a big way and that it highlighted itself once Rowling drew her proverbial sword.

But more examples are happening even now.

Ash Parrish of The Verge wrote about the return of the GamerGate movement, which sparked after Sweet Baby Inc., a woke advisory company that has been ruining games in the video game industry, was exposed as a group of radical leftists pushing radical leftism on studios, even encouraging others to do so using fear.

Parrish lied about the nature of GamerGate and what it accomplished and went on to misrepresent its second go-round. I won't quote the article; you can read it yourself, but you've already read it a million times by other journalists attempting to lie about gamers' intentions while claiming victimhood for themselves and their ideologically radical ilk.

Naturally, Parrish was confronted by gamers for the lie and what did she do?

Second verse, same as the first.

This is a pattern with radical leftists. Attempt to intimidate and lie, get called out, face repercussions, run and hide.

The lesson here is plain. The radical left likes to pretend they're big and tough, but they're really fragile people attempting to cover up their cowardice and lack of stomach for a fight with guilt and intimidation. The goal is to get people to cower before them and do what they want through the threat of punishment if they don't comply.

But once you exhibit an unwillingness to back down and happily confront them, they tend to retreat and hide.

Keep in mind this won't necessarily stop them from doing what they do. They'll still lob attacks from the safety of their block lists and privatized accounts, but their credibility takes a hit regardless. People begin to stop taking them seriously and stop listening. They stop clicking on their work and, eventually, the websites they work for.

Do you think the layoffs happening at major websites are just because of a bad economy? Do you think the closure of other websites is just a result of bad luck?

Nope. With every repeat of this pattern, they lose more and more ground. It's been a slow, arduous process but the advance of the people against the radical left has been a steady one.

The cowards are losing.
