Argentina's new President, the unapologetic libertarian Javier Milei, rose to superstardom around the world after he defeated the long-reigning leftists in his country.

The furvor hasn't died yet, and Milei is still releasing wowing people with nothing more than a basic understanding of the principles of freedom and free markets. One particular moment that caught the attention of Tesla/X CEO Elon Musk was Milei explaining the true nature of social justice.

In the clip taken from an interview done a few years ago on Argentina's A24 with political analyst Jorge Asís. Milei started by quoting free market economist Milton Friedman who said "A society that puts equality before freedom will get neither. A society that puts freedom before equality will get a high degree of both."

From there, Milei went into how this relates to the destructive and thief-like nature of social justice:

"A society that obsesses with equality sooner or later becomes a society of looters and falls apart. That is the story of Argentina. Therefore, the point is that social justice is unjust. There is nothing more unjust than social justice. Becasue what is the greatest achievement of liberalism?

Liberalism's greatest achievement is "equality before ethe law." This is to say, the law is the same for everyone. When you adhere to the idea of social justice, which means the redistribution of income, what you are really doing is using the repressive state apparatus so you can take from the successful to distribute it capriciously according to the wishes of whomever is in power."

Javier Milei saw Musk's post and responded by quote-tweeting it, saying "We need to talk, Elon."

Milei's explanation is right on the money, economically speaking. Not only does the phrase "society of looters" apply to those in the streets who literally break into stores and shops to steal goods and property under the social justice excuse of it being "reparations," but it also acts as a vehicle through which people in power redistribute taxpayer dollars and regulate businesses.

Social justice is, at the end of the day, a way to excuse and even legalize theft in some way, shape, or form. Be it theft of money, goods, a job, an education, or a myriad of other things. It's an avenue to justify redistribution of materials and power and suppress and repress your political opponents.

Milei is right on the money as usual, and like Milei, America should begin focusing on eliminating any social justice based programs within our government. Doing so would eliminate untold amounts of corruption, misappropriation of funds, and unjust regulations in our society.

Social justice wears a mask of "fairness" in order to justify evil, but as Musk noted recently, we should be more concerned about the doing good than focusing on the perception of good.

This will likely require an understanding by a larger chunk of the public about the true nature of "social justice" in order to break its spell over the people, and that might mean a forced rebranding of the concept from its opponents.
