The hostesses at The View are well known for some of the most ridiculous and stupid takes you can find in mainstream culture, but Sunny Hostin might have just blown any competition away for “most sinister.”

The reactions to the death of Queen Elizabeth have been wide-ranging, but many people on Twitter began celebrating her death, especially the black community on the social media website. In fact, the celebration of her death went viral with “Black Twitter” actually trending.

Enter Uju Anya, a critical race theorist at Carnegie Mellon University who tweeted one of the vilest things to ever hit Twitter.

“I heard the chief monarch of a thieving raping genocidal empire is finally dying. May her pain be excruciating,” tweeted Anya.

The tweet was taken down by Twitter for violating their rules, but the internet is forever.

You’d think that most of us could come together and condemn this, but naturally, the ladies of The View can’t let a good dogpile go to waste. The ladies brought up Anya and Hostin couldn’t stop herself.

“It was a thieving, raping, genocidal empire. That’s all true,” said Hostin.

She did not follow it up with a condemnation of the wishing of pain on the late Queen.

The bottom line is that Queen Elizabeth isn’t guilty of anything. She was, for all intents and purposes, a good woman who did the best with what she had at any given moment. Of course, she was flawed (who isn’t?) but what she’s not is guilty of past sins committed by those who came before her.

But even pulling back a bit more, we can see that the British Empire that Queen Elizabeth inherited was actually a positive force on the world. As Tucker Carlson noted, there was never an empire more benign. Moreover, it left almost every place it controlled better off than when they found it. Once they departed, the countries began to decline significantly. The British Empire was known for saving lives, not ending them en masse.

This makes little difference to today’s modern social justice advocates. What they see and hear is about nothing but white people controlling non-white people, and for this, all white people are guilty of that sin. Hostin seems more than willing to continue this string of guilt to people who shouldn’t have to bear it.

In fact, she’s so set on doing it that, that when someone wish’s a person innocent of the crime an excruciating death, Hostin will not denounce it.

I’m consistently amazed at the fact that The View is still on the air, or at the very least, why anyone takes these women seriously.
