Earlier on Monday, explosive news broke that Elon Musk was closing in on a deal to purchase Twitter. At that moment, the hysterics began, and now that the deal is done, the breakdowns have grown exponentially, something RedState recently reported on.
But while we knew the broader left would lose its mind, another big question would be how Twitter’s employees would handle it. After all, it’s currently a far-left company stocked full of far-left ideologues from Silicon Valley. Some weeks ago, when Musk first began to make noises about purchasing the social media giant, I posted this as a reaction.
If you think things are fun right now, just wait. If Elon Musk actually pulls this off, the protests from Twitter employees are going to provide months of entertainment.

Well, the time has arrived, and the first rumblings have emerged from a Twitter emergency “all-call” among the current leadership and employees to discuss Musk’s takeover. Here’s a bit of what was discussed.
Already a lot of pointed questions about layoffs and what happens to RSUs/stock awards

Parag: "Once the deal closes, we don't know what direction the platform will go" – in response to a question about Trump return to the platform

Parag: "Yes, there's uncertainty about what happens after this but we will learn more as time goes on. I, and the management team and the board will continue to spend time with Elon and as we learn more well share with you" — tone is pretty curt here, imo

As you can see, the current leadership doing its best to put on a happy face about all this. Most of them obviously know their days are numbered, though. That one question got asked about Trump shows where many of the employees are, still concerned about politics instead of the health of the company they work for. I won’t post all the rest of the questions, but overall, the mood was apparently uncomfortable and somber.
But how tense are things really? We are getting our first reports involving employee reactions, and they are everything I hoped they’d be.
2/ The source at Twitter continued “I don’t rly know what I’m supposed to do…oh my god, my phone’s been blowing up…We have a meeting about it at 5pm…the CEO is going to address everyone about it” (it=elon)
“I hate him, why does he even want this?” they asked…

5/ lastly, there’s the harsh irony of this takeover process in which the push notification Breaking News is news to the firm’s workers too: “Everything I know about what’s going on I’ve heard about on Twitter…nobody is saying s*%# to us…I’m just going to try to do my job…”

I don’t see any way that many of these employees can retain their jobs. Twitter is so clearly full of partisan actors who would seek to undermine Musk’s vision that he will have to clean house. He did it at Tesla, and you can bet he’s going to do it here. That’s going to lead to a lot of wild-eyed, dramatic resignations over the next several months.
That’s a good thing, though. It’s long past time that the spoiled, overly-political babies that work for these social media companies got a taste of reality. They’ve been insulated for far too long, essentially recreating their leftist university experiences while at Twitter. I expect Musk to give people a chance, but I can’t imagine he’s going to put up with any nonsense after just putting so much of his personal wealth on the line.
So grab your popcorn, pull up a seat, and enjoy the show. Things are about to get even more nuts, and I’m going to enjoy every second of it.
