When Chris Wallace ran interference for Joe Biden over the question of packing the Supreme Court, you knew that the issue wasn’t going away. That appears to be the case, as Biden is now fielding near daily questions from local reporters who are actually trying to do their jobs properly.

Yesterday, a reporter asked Biden and he once again refused to answer, giving the ridiculous excuse that by doing so that he’d change the headlines. Is he aware he’s running for president? Perhaps he’s not. But he made things much worse after being asked the same question again today.

When a local reporter pressed him on whether voters “deserve” to know his position, Biden got angry and snapped back that they don’t.

REPORTER: “Sir, don’t the voters deserve to know” your position on court packing?

Again, does he realize he’s running for president? Voters absolutely deserve to know whether a candidate is going to blow up the Supreme Court and plunge the country into a constitutional crisis. That Biden continues to not provide an answer to this basic question should be completely disqualifying.

It also happens to be incredibly hypocritical. Biden, nor the media would ever accept such a deflection from Trump on any topic. Remember, these are the same people who insist that knowing Trump’s pre-president tax information is absolutely vital to the electorate. But not sharing a position on packing the court, a position the top rungs of the Democrat party have endorsed, is no big deal apparently.

Biden must have gotten the memo following that episode, as he’s trying out a new line now. Instead of just saying yes or no that he’ll pack the court, he’s accusing Republicans of doing so, which makes no sense whatsoever.

He also claims that what the GOP are doing with moving to confirm Amy Coney Barrett is somehow unconstitutional. No one in the national media has bothered to challenge that assertion so far. I guess the fact-checkers have taken the weekend off.

Look, we know Biden’s real answer here. He wants to leave open the possibility of packing the court because he’d absolutely do it if Democrats can muster enough votes in Congress. The idea that Biden is a moderate has always been a farce. He and Kamala Harris are far-left liberals and always have been. Biden used to brag about being one of the most liberal members of the Senate. That the media continue to let him get away with this is a testament to their uselessness. The only reporters who have even put pressure on Biden to answer are local journalists who aren’t beholden to the left-wing culture instilled in places like CNN and The New York Times.

Biden can’t do this dance forever. He’s going to have to answer, and if he doesn’t, it’s going to hurt him. This is why you never paint yourself into a corner.
