Earlier Tuesday, RedState brought you the story of the horrifying plot to cause a mass casualty event at the White House Ultimate Fighting Championship event, which was held on the South Lawn Sunday to celebrate President Trump’s 80th birthday and the nation’s 250th.

It was a sick scheme, but fortunately, the FBI busted it up, and now we’re learning more about the “mastermind” behind it:

Federal authorities allege Michael Alan Thomas, of Pinon Hills, was one of the conspiracy’s primary planners.

Prosecutors say he operated under the online alias “Whiskey Six Amerika” and shared tactical advice with fellow plotters as they mapped out an assault on the June 14 blockbuster event.

Fox News' Bill Melugin reports that Thomas has some deeply disturbed views: "Thomas admitted to the Feds that he believes the U.S. government is run by elites who sacrifice and eat children and who have deep knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein's crimes but are protected by President Trump."

He is pictured below with another alleged conspirator, Bryan Omar Roa of Yucaipa, California, whose alias is “Noble6.”

Luckily, these “masterminds” weren’t all that competent:

Though Roa told the FBI he intended to travel to Washington, D.C., only as a protester, his family told investigators he warned them that one day they would wake up and find him gone and that “something big” would happen in the nation’s capital.

Roa’s cross-country trip ended abruptly when his vehicle broke down in Barstow, forcing him to return to Southern California, where federal agents later searched his home and seized an AR-style rifle, a Glock 19 handgun and tactical gear, according to court records.

The complaint also references an Instagram Story that investigators say showed Roa participating in firearms and tactical training, though the account is no longer publicly available.

FBI Foils Chilling Terror Plot Targeting White House UFC Event

Five men have been charged so far, according to the DOJ:

The Justice Department announced today charges against five men for an alleged plot to carry out an attack to kill government officials and others attending the UFC Freedom 250 event held at the White House last Sunday.

“The FBI, our law enforcement partners and our U.S. Attorneys did what they do every day to make America Safe through quick response and vigilance in investigating, disrupting, and dismantling this alleged plan before it could be carried out,” said Acting Attorney General @DAGToddBlanche.

“We will take immediate and aggressive action to identify and prosecute those who incite and plan acts of violence.”

In a statement, the DOJ also said they’d gleaned information enabling them to foil the plot from alleged accomplice Tycen C. Proper, 19, of Danville, Ohio:

During the interview, he allegedly said he had planned with others a coordinated attack against the U.S. government during the UFC event at the White House. He said members of the group who wanted to participate in the attack began communicating with each other around March. More serious members of the group, including Proper, moved their communications to an encrypted chat app. They planned to fly small drones with explosives to detonate over the north side of the UFC arena, forcing high value targets to evacuate the premises; the group would then act as snipers and shoot these individuals. Before executing the plan, Proper and other conspirators allegedly planned to rendezvous in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

It was his parents notifying authorities about his activities that eventually led to the plot's undoing.

BREAKING: Tycen Proper, of Ohio, has been arrested by the FBI for allegedly planning a terrorist attack to bomb the America 250 UFC event.

Proper reportedly planned to use explosive drones to target buildings in the area. Multiple other suspects have also been arrested in relation to the terror plot.

Two others, Daniel Eskridge of Missouri and Nebraskan Abraham Alvarez, were also charged Tuesday. If they are convicted of conspiracy to commit murder, the five each face a maximum penalty of life in prison and a $250,000 fine.

It’s bad enough that we have to worry about a possible terror attack by Iran, ISIS, or their ilk, but to think these homegrown Americans wanted to do this to our country is truly galling. If the allegations are proven, then life in prison without the possibility of parole sounds about right to me. I don’t see how you can be “rehabilitated” after plotting mass murder.
