Trump Confirms He Cursed Out Netanyahu — but Says It's All Good Now

Profanity alert.

Donald Trump admitted he called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “f***ing crazy” during a phone call Monday for continuing to attack Lebanon while the United States is trying to negotiate a deal with Iran. Appearing on the “Pod Force One” podcast with reporter Miranda Devine, the president said he was annoyed with “Bibi,” but insisted he worked well with the PM and was just frustrated in the moment.

“I was a little bit perturbed at his constantly fighting with Lebanon,” Trump said.

Iran keeps using Israel’s strikes on the Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah as an excuse to delay agreeing to a ceasefire and peace deal with the U.S.

Devine asked the president if he did indeed curse out his counterpart:

I did. I wouldn't say "angry" - I was a little bit... perturbed at his constantly fighting with Lebanon, you know? At some point, I said, Bibi, we gotta stop this. We've got to stop it.

But I have a very good relationship with him; we've done well together...

I like Bibi a lot. And I've worked very well with him. I'm a wartime president, he's a wartime prime minister. Very important part of the world. And I think we've done, you know, very well. We've gotten along very well.

Devine asked him how he was dealing with what must be the massive stress of his job and the numerous sticky problems on his plate: Venezuela, Iran, the economy, Ukraine, and more. Trump said he's coping because his administration has actually been a success:

Well one thing is that it's working out well.

Venezuela was a big success. Iran's a big success. Wait till you see, it'll be a big success.

Trump reiterated what he’s been saying for some time now as peace talks go back and forth: he wants a deal first, but if the Islamic Republic refuses to come to terms and does not commit 100 percent to ending its nuclear weapons dreams (which he stressed that they’d agreed to), there’s another way — force. Lots of it:

We've essentially defeated the military. We'll see what happens. We're working on a deal, and if that happens, fine. Maybe it doesn't happen, that's okay, too. We'll do it the other way.

But the economy is unbelievable. We just hit another stock market high today, all time high, 71 times. In the short period that I've been here for the second term, 71 times, we've been at a new high, and whether we like it or not, that is a big indicator of, well, people, 401k's are all high, they're all setting records.

We don’t need boots on the ground, he argued, noting that we’ve wiped out their military with bombs alone. That being said, he insisted he’d rather do it the “nice” way.
