The late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein is still ruining lives over six years after his death. Doubtless, many of these people certainly deserve it, but others are having their reputations destroyed merely for being at a long-forgotten party with the perverted financier.

One name that has come up often since the final release of the so-called Epstein files in late January is the former UK ambassador to the United States, Peter Mandelson, and on Monday, the situation became very real for him as the London Metropolitan Police arrested him for suspicion of misconduct. The bust comes in the wake of Prince Andrew’s arrest for similar accusations.

It’s not looking good for either of them:

Mandelson, a veteran Labour Party politician, has been accused of passing market-sensitive information to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein when he was business secretary in the UK government.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Officers have arrested a 72-year-old man on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He was arrested at an address in Camden on Monday, February 23, and has been taken to a London police station for interview.”

“This follows search warrants at two addresses in the Wiltshire and Camden areas.”

Mandelson had already been fired from his post by Prime Minister Keir Starmer in September for previous revelations about the ambassador’s ties to Epstein — in fact, he once called Epstein his “best pal.”

The scandals with Prince Andrew and now Mendelson have roiled Britain, and many have called for Starmer to resign.

BFFs?

Earlier in February, Starmer had rebuffed calls for resignation, but it’s unclear if Mandelson’s arrest will change that equation:

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer refused on Monday [February 9] to heed calls to quit, even by the leader of his party in Scotland, pledging to fight on after his appointment of Peter Mandelson as U.S. ambassador plunged his government into crisis.

Under pressure over the appointment of a man whose close ties to the late U.S. sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have come into full focus, Starmer has attempted to change the narrative.

Long after his apparent suicide, Jeffrey Epstein continues to take down Hollywood celebrities, tech billionaires, and politicians. Next on the agenda: the Bill and Hillary Clinton testimony later this month before the House Oversight Committee about their knowledge of the creep’s activities.

Stay tuned.
