Here It Is: The Trump Mugshot Democrats Have Been Praying For

Fulton County Sheriff's Department.

Democrats have been dreaming of this moment for years: the release of a mugshot of Donald Trump, the former president and current frontrunner for the GOP nomination. Thursday night, those wishes came true as Trump surrendered at the Fulton County Jail and posed for the camera. He was assigned inmate number P01135809, according to CNN's Thursday evening broadcast

According to the outlet, this is the photo they've been waiting for:

Today's activity was so big that the FAA issued a temporary flight restriction for the airspace around the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta due to a 'VIP moment' from 6:45 pm to 9:00 pm ET.

As we’ve reported, Trump and 18 others were charged with a variety of charges in an election subversion case filed by Fulton County DA Fani Willis. Many had already been marched in front of the camera, including former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, lawyer Sidney Powell, and attorney John Eastman.

As I wrote in the above story, Democrats somehow don’t seem to realize that the precedent that is being set could someday be used on them. The way that revelations keep pouring out about President Biden’s business dealings with his son Hunter and Ukraine, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that he too will one day be a former president standing in jail waiting for his photoshoot.

Before leaving for Georgia, Trump took to Trush Social to boast about viewership for his Wednesday evening Tucker Carlson interview. Then he blasted Fani Willis as radical and a lowlife:

231,000,000 Views, and still counting. The Biggest Video on Social Media, EVER, more than double the Super Bowl! But please excuse me, I have to start getting ready to head down to Atlanta, Georgia, where Murder and other Violent Crimes have reached levels never seen before, to get ARRESTED by a Radical Left, Lowlife District Attorney, Fani Willis, for A PERFECT PHONE CALL, and having the audacity to challenge a RIGGED & STOLEN ELECTION. THE EVIDENCE IS IRREFUTABLE! ARREST TIME: 7:30 P.M.

Giuliani was equally critical of Willis and the case against him, saying on Wednesday before he left for Georgia to turn himself in:

"I'm going to Georgia, and I'm feeling very, very, good about it because I feel like I'm defending the rights of all Americans as I did so many times as a United States Attorney," he said.

"People like to say I'm different – I'm the same Rudy Giuliani that took down the Mafia, that made New York City the safest city in America, reduced crime more than any mayor in the history of any city anywhere, and I'm fighting for justice," he explained….

Rudy Giuliani also offered a warning to reporters on his way out saying, "whether you dislike or you like Donald Trump, let me give you a warning: They're gonna come for you."

Although Trump has already been booked in separate cases in New York, Florida, and Washington, D.C. (he pleaded not guilty in all three cases), he was not forced to take a mugshot in those instances:

The former president has until now been spared a booking photo and having to interact with other criminal defendants.

But Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat has said the department's "normal practices" will be followed when processing Mr Trump.

So far, two of his alleged co-conspirators have already been booked into the Fulton County Jail, which is notorious for hazardous conditions that some inmates endure for months.

At the jail, defendants typically undergo a series of procedures, including a medical screening, fingerprinting and a warrants check.

Trump's mugshot is sure to break the internet, and many, including his daughter-in-law Lara Trump, think it will only galvanize his supporters. She appeared on NewsMax Wednesday and opined:

But I think it’s going to backfire on them, just like everything else does.

It’s going to be on posters and people’s dorm rooms. It’s going to be on t-shirts. It is going to be a flag flown by people who love this country because they’re backing Donald Trump.
