A new book called “The Fight of His Life” focuses on the frustrations of Joe Biden during his disastrous two years as president, but also highlights the deep insecurities of Vice President Kamala Harris which have caused her stunningly inept performance in the number two job.

The Washington Examiner obtained excerpts from the book, penned by journalist Chris Whipple and set for release on January 17. They write:

A former aide said Harris engaged in “really unnecessary gamesmanship” with staff, behavior the person attributed to “deep, deep insecurity” …

The staffer, who spent years working for Harris, claimed she “refused to do the kind of preparation that you need to do before going public on a hardcore policy matter. And then she became incensed and outraged when things wouldn’t go the way she thought they were supposed to. There was a lot of magical thinking.”

RedState’s Sister Toldjah has reported on other revelations from the book, noting that Joe Biden realized his mistake with his VP pick early on in his tenure, while Nick Arama brought you the story of how Biden’s paranoia about the Secret Service runs deep. Arama on Saturday also detailed Harris’ abject failure as “border czar,” a title she holds despite never having visited:

There have been 4 million illegal immigrant border encounters since Kamala Harris was assigned to address the “root cause” of the crisis.

The book goes on to note that Harris’ management problems are not new and plagued her during her reign as California’s attorney general. A former staffer spills the beans, while also rejecting the incessant claims of misogyny and racism against the vice president:

“I think it’s helpful for people to know that this is not new, and it will inhibit any administration that she is the leader of…”

The person disputed that former aides criticizing Harris were targeting her because of her race or gender. “When somebody raises an issue about Kamala, everybody’s like, you don’t want to see black women succeed. That’s completely backward. Everybody who goes to work for Kamala, by definition, wants to see her succeed. That’s why you take these jobs,” she said.

Gil Duran, another former staffer, described her “dysfunction” as attorney general, and called her impossible to manage:

The amount of stress she created by constantly being impossible to manage and taking out all her stresses on staff — usually women, or people who were not in great positions of authority — was just kind of unbearable.

Harris has not surprisingly been plagued by a high level of staff turnover, as many top aides jumped ship during the first 18 months of the administration, including her chief of staff, communications director, and press secretary. Maybe it’s cringe moments like this that are driving them away:

Kamala Harris has been a startingly incompetent vice president, and one can only wonder whether she will be on the ticket should Clueless Joe decide to run again in 2024. Her word salads are legendary (here’s a list of her most awkward utterings of 2022), and her child-like, giggling delivery makes her appear utterly unserious.

One could forgive her personal quirks if she actually had any accomplishments as VP, but her record on the border alone is enough to disqualify her from future high-ranking positions in government. To find out that she’s nasty to work for to boot is the final nail in the coffin that is her reputation. The obvious takeaway is that Biden’s focus on identity over competence has led to a slew of unqualified officials in his administration (I’m looking at you, Pete Buttigieg).

Harris didn’t actually say the following words, but the sad part is that she realistically could have:

Kamala Harris: It’s New Year’s Eve. Which means it’s the eve of the new year. That means the old year is over. And tomorrow the new year begins. and when the new year begins, the old year is over. so let us begin with the beginning of the new year. when the new year begins.
