Executions Continue in Iran - Why Aren't We Hearing More About It?

During his speech a few weeks ago at CPAC, Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi stated that for decades, American presidents of both parties have thought they could "manage" the brutal Iranian regime. President Donald Trump is the first one to put an end to the regime that has not only terrorized its own people, but the rest of the world for 47 years. The victories the U.S. has enjoyed since the start of the war are phenomenal and will change the face of the region. But the same barbaric practices are still going on.

Bita Hemmati, along with her husband, Mohammadreza Majid-Asl, has been sentenced to death by an Iranian court in connection with the January protests in Tehran. Hemmati will be the first female protester executed. On Thursday, Dr. Sheila Nazarian, a doctor whose family fled Iran when she was a child, spoke to Fox News Channel's Bill Hemmer. Nazarian provided grisly details about what happens to women who are convicted of "crimes against God" and sentenced to death.

The fate of Hemmati and her husband is just the latest round of executions since the uprising began in January. Hemmer gave a grim tally of what continues to happen in Iran. According to Iran HRM, a human rights group, since the beginning of the war, there were 341 executions in January, 307 in February, but only eight were reported in March since the regime shut off the internet for a total of 656.

On Thursday, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said during a press briefing that the U.S. military was ready to take out Iran's electrical infrastructure if the cease-fire between the U.S. and Iran failed. He stated:

“Our forces are maximally postured to restart combat operations should this new Iranian regime choose poorly and not agree to a deal. We are locked and loaded on your critical dual-use infrastructure, on your remaining power generation and on your energy industry.”

Pakistani officials are in Iran, as well as other nations in the region, and could be headed back to Washington, D.C., soon as they attempt to get peace talks restarted. President Trump has stated that he believes the war will end soon.

These are all amazing and very necessary accomplishments. But just two weeks ago, President Trump stated that there was a new regime in place who are “less radical and much more reasonable.” Yet, executions are still taking place. While we are touting military and possible diplomatic victories, ongoing executions also need to be addressed.

Dr. Nazarian stated that inside Iran, "they don't want the bombs to stop. They're more afraid of this regime than they are of the targeted attacks that Israel and America are doing." But she also stated that the Iranian people continue to believe that President Trump is the man who will allow them to take their country back, saying:

"Iran isn't just a military war, or peace in the Middle East, or oil stabilization. This is a humanitarian issue. They are killing young people every single day, and the only president, the only one who has helped, is President Trump."

Editor's Note: For decades, former presidents have been all talk and no action. Now, Donald Trump is eliminating the threat from Iran once and for all.
