Why Aren't American Feminists Celebrating Freedom of Iranian Women? Answer: Look at Their Priorities

As the American military continues air strikes on Iran, taking out the Islamic regime, Iranians are literally dancing in the streets. For the first time in 47 years, the Iranian people have the best chance to take back their country and install a pro-Western, secular government. But for Iranian women, it marks the end of an especially brutal era. They can now look forward to much more freedom to live their lives the way they want. It is something that women all over the world should be celebrating right along with them. But amazingly, not all women seem to be celebrating.

The most outspoken women, American feminists, are noticeably absent from the celebration. They have been fighting for equality for American women for six decades. Why wouldn't women being liberated from an oppressive theocracy be at the top of a list of victories for them? For the answers to that, all you have to do is take a look at their priorities in this country.

It goes without saying that those priorities are all Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS)-driven. First on the list is their fear that Republicans will take away their abortion rights. Their fear became a reality when the passage of the "Big Beautiful Bill" defunded Planned Parenthood for one year. Now, their fears that Republicans want to turn American women into nothing more than real-life "handmaidens" are compounded by the possible passage of the SAVE America Act. Their argument, married women will be unable to vote unless they change their birth certificate and other forms of government ID to include their married name. I'm sure I speak for many married women when I say that it has never been a problem. Add to that, American feminists' unending support for transgender women, including their being allowed to play in women's sports, thus all but erasing the rights of actual women they have fought for during those decades.

It's obvious that American feminists have a lot on their plates and are simply too busy to support women who, under the previous regime, could be arrested and beaten for showing too much hair while wearing the mandatory headscarf. But their reasoning for not supporting Iranian women goes much deeper. As dedicated leftists, virtue signaling is at the top of their to-do list. That includes making sure that they, in no way, would be encouraging any Islamophobia, and thus, putting Muslims in the West in any danger. Convoluted, sure. But when TDS clouds your brain, it all makes sense.

Here is what is taking place on the streets of America. Iranian-Americans are celebrating the end of what amounts to decades of occupation and oppression in their homeland. Then, there are the organized anti-Trump, anti-war leftist protesters who are against anything President Trump does because he is the one doing it. It's interesting to note that the anti-war crowd is usually nowhere near Iranian-American celebrations. In that crowd are liberal white women who think they are protesting another action by Donald Trump, but in reality are protesting Iranian women gaining the freedom that has been denied to them for almost 50 years.

Donald Trump has liberated millions of Iranian women with strikes against Iran, and American feminists are nowhere to be found. Maybe the freedom and equality of all women are not really what they are interested in.

Editor's Note: For decades, former presidents have been all talk and no action. Now, Donald Trump is eliminating the threat from Iran once and for all.
