For conservatives and Republicans, watching President Donald Trump break the media has been a ton of fun. Up until the advent of conservative news outlets, there were decades during which no one called the legacy media out on anything they reported on. President Trump has changed all of that, and calls them to their faces what they are, and they have no idea what to do. But it doesn't stop them from doing what they believe is their mission, to portray Trump as every kind of evil. Recently, it was that old media standby, 60 Minutes, that took a run at Trump.
This video is incredible. 60 Minutes goes to South Africa, clearly looking to debunk narratives about white farmers being targeted and killed with impunity, talk to farmers who have countless stories of their family and friends being tortured and killed with no arrests.

60 Minutes took a trip to South Africa to allegedly "investigate" Trump's claims of a "genocide" of white farmers taking place at the hands of black criminals who are robbing and murdering them. Correspondent and CNN alum Anderson Cooper began by reminding us that, in November, Trump announced he was "permanently pausing migration from all third-world countries," and the only group of refugees that Trump is letting into the U.S. are white South Africans. In May, Trump spoke about the murders of South African farmers, saying,
"It's a genocide that's taking place that you people don't want to write about, but it's a terrible thing that's taking place and farmers are being killed. They happen to be White."
Cooper spoke with two white farmers, both of whom had been the victims of these attacks. Darrel Brown, whose 82-year-old father was attacked and also had friends, fellow farmers, who had been murdered, as well as his best friend and farmer, Tollie Nel. But that is not what Cooper was looking for. He found it while speaking to Nel's widow, Renee. Cooper asked her what she thought of Trump using the word "genocide." She said, "Well, I just thought he was using the wrong word." Cooper pressed her, asking, "In your opinion, it's not a genocide here? Renee Nel added:
"Not what I know as a genocide. Not what I've heard of what a genocide is. I see our attack as a opportunistic attack. They knew there was money. They knew there were firearms."
It was in black farmer Nhlanhla Zuma that Cooper found paydirt. In 2024, Zuma was shot at, and his house was broken into. He stated, "There are a lot of Black farmers that are attacked, and their voices are not out. It's just another number, another statistic." Cooper then spoke with Johann Kotze, head of the largest agricultural organization, who stated, "It's actually not about White genocide. It's about criminality — in South Africa." He added, "Poverty is the biggest driver of crime in South Africa. And how do you solve that?"
SOUTH AFRICA HOMlClDE RATE:
— End Wokeness (@EndWokeness) February 24, 2026
National rate: 45 per 100k
Police officers: 60 per 100k
White farmers: 109 per 100k
The media calls it a "conspiracy theory"
It was there that Anderson Cooper and 60 Minutes were off and running. He calls South Africa "one of the world's most economically unequal countries." The poverty rate among blacks is 44 percent, compared to just one percent of whites. Whites make up just 7 percent of the population.
Cooper then treats his audience to a brief history lesson, which allows Cooper conveniently to squeeze in a reference to Apartheid. Then, in an amazing bit of self-pretzel twisting, he references American white supremacists and former Fox News Host Tucker Carlson, who began talking about the issue in 2018.

Cooper includes one guy, the CEO of an Afrikaners (white South Africans) rights group called Afriforum, who seems to support Trump's claims. Kallie Kriel is asked by Cooper if white farmers are being killed for their land. Kriel says, "Yes. I believe so." Cooper asks, "Is there a White genocide going on in South Africa?" Kriel replies, "We've never used the term White genocide. We're saying there are tortures. People are being murdered. We are seeing a call for genocide." But remember, the root cause is crime.
Anderson Cooper's ace appears to be Afrikaner journalist Max du Preez. He dutifully props up his fellow journo Cooper with this gem, "It is not happening (government seizing land). Donald Trump was fed this information, this link: farm murders, genocide. There is no such thing."
Ok, 60 Minutes, you have proved your point. You will literally go anywhere in an attempt to prove Donald Trump wrong.
