Democrat Calls Muslims Opposed to Transgender Curriculum 'White Supremacists'

One of the things that Democrats and the left love to do, is change the meaning of words. Global warming became “climate change” when nothing was really getting any warmer. They want Americans to believe that equality and equity mean the same, they absolutely do not. And now, it appears that the term “white supremacist” will become the new over-arching name used for anyone who does not agree with the transgender agenda.

For now, it might just be on the local level, but probably not for long. On Tuesday night, at a Montgomery County Maryland school board meeting, Kristen Mink, a Democrat member of the Montgomery County Council, noted that many Muslim families in the community, have “sided with white supremacists.” How on earth have Muslims sided with white supremacists you ask? Simple, they spoke out against LGBTQQIAAP2S+ materials being presented in their children’s classrooms.

During the meeting, Mink stated, “This issue has, unfortunately, does put… some Muslim families on the same side of an issue as White supremacists and outright bigots.” But then was very quick to point out that, “I would not put you in the same category as those folks, although, you know, it’s complicated because they’re falling on the same side of this particular issue.”

Mink’s comments came after several Muslim students in the district spoke out about the fact that their parents were unable to opt them out of classroom material being taught that they say violates their faith. Mink then apparently went on to explain that “equity” now trumps religious freedom guaranteed them in the Constitution saying, “That is equity. That’s not an infringement on, you know, particular religious freedoms, just as we cannot allow folks to opt out of teachings about evolution.”

But the Muslim community in Montgomery County Maryland does not agree with Kristen Mink, and believes that their religious rights are a tad more important than her agenda. And many of the students seem to know the Constitution a bit better than Mink. One student named Sa’ ad stated, “I’m here to talk about my rights. My religion teaches to respect all religions and all human beings and their rights. So does my country’s law. And I want my right back to have an opt-out option.” Ibrahim Raziuddin is a 2023 graduate of the district. He stated, “Although the introduction of texts and discussions related to transgenderism and LGBTQ+ may support MCPS’s mission to be all-inclusive… I don’t believe my first-grade and third-grade cousins are prepared to read and discuss such issues.”

The transgender movement is an issue that is bringing together what might look like, on the surface, the most peculiar of allies, Muslims and Christians. Places like Dearborn Michigan, where there are large populations of Muslims, have joined with Christian groups to protest transgender ideology in the nation’s public schools. Where there was once animosity towards the influx of Muslims by some Christians, especially in the aftermath of 9/11, there are now common causes: religious freedom and preventing the indoctrination of children.

But immediately branding the Muslim community as “white supremacists” by Democrats and the left is a bit curious. Since Sept. 11, 2001, most Americans have been careful not to label all Muslims as terrorists, but while conservatives have not had a problem calling out radical Islam when they see it, Democrats have had a difficult time calling those Muslims that do engage in terrorism just that: terrorists. So calling someone a terrorist when they are one was a problem, but calling them “white supremacists” is a cakewalk?

It gets better. Recently, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), added “Moms for Liberty,” a group that advocates for parents’ rights, to their “anti-government” and “extremist” group list — because they are not falling in line with the transgender movement. Will Muslims be designated a hate group as well? Can’t wait to see how well that goes over.

Immigrants are speaking out against the pride and transgender movement all over the nation. On Tuesday, a school board meeting in Glendale California, erupted in violence as parents, many of whom are Armenian immigrants, protested pride events at schools. Like Muslims, the Armenian community is a traditional one and is objecting to pride and transgenderism being taught to their children.

Roxanne Hoge, wife of RedState’s own Bob Hoge, may have summed it up best in a tweet from May. “Keep pushing Dems. And you’ll find out the immigrants you’ve been counting on to vote blue no matter who, aren’t really down for the anti-religion thing.”
