Soap Star Antonio Sabato to Run for Office

Soap opera star Antonio Sabato, Jr has announced his intention to run as the Republican candidate, Variety reports.

Antonio will be running in California’s 26th district, which is Democrat +12. Italian-born Sabato, one of the few celebrities to attend president Trump’s inauguration, spoke at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland and has a history of being politically vocal. Sabato is known to be passionate about the opioid crisis, immigration reform, and veterans affairs.
