Politics is a haven of ridiculous rhetoric and disingenuous remarks. Apropos, for months, we’ve been told the nation’s simply graced by “peaceful protestors.”

Case in point, courtesy of Andrew Cuomo’s secretary:

I’m sure you could add your own preferred examples from hundreds of online clips, but MoveOn.org’s apparently missed all that.

In fact, MO is partnering with some of America’s largest teachers unions to warn us all: Evidently,  conservatives are the brutes.

Therefore, the groups are forecasting possible “right-wing violence” if Joe Biden wins in November.

According to The Daily Wire, a memo’s even been issued with instruction on how to counter or defend against small-governmet savages.

Tumult is all the talk. As noted by the Wire, the declaration comes only days following The Washington Post’s “fever-dream op-ed, that left-leaning and progressive activists could engage in large scale rioting and destruction following a Biden loss, even going so far as to envision a scenario that ends in a civil-war-like battle between…Antifa…and right-wing protesters, cheered on by President Donald Trump himself.”

Rosa Brooks — Georgetown University law professor and co-founder of Transition Integrity Project” — wrote in her editorial that only a “landslide for Joe Biden” would lead to “a relatively orderly transfer of power.”

Perfecto!

Otherwise, Fight Back Table — a consortium of MoveOn, Color of Change, and the American Federation of Teachers (with involvement from Transition Integrity) — has founded a Democracy Defense Nerve Center to fight a red-state revolt aimed at illegally keeping Trump in power.

MoveOn Director Rahna Epting explained it to the Daily Beast, whose headline called to “MAGA violence”:

“It is very obvious that Trump is laying the groundwork for claiming victory no matter what. Progressive groups at the end of the day believe in our democracy and, while it is not perfect, believe in building upon it and strengthening it. And we will fight to protect it from what we truly see as a president who has gone off the rails and taking this country down an authoritarian fascist path.”

Got that? “Very obvious.” I reference my opening statement.

Some of the hurdles (against anti-Democrat violence) were straightforward: how you “occupy shit, hold space, and shut things down, not just on Election Day but for weeks,” explained one source familiar with the Democracy Defense Nerve Center operations. Others are more complicated, like what quick transportation options can be in place should poll locations mysteriously close. Others have been simply impossible to plan out.

“I don’t know what the strategy is when armed right-wing militia dudes show up in polling places,” the same source said. “This [Kyle] Rittenhouse guy is being lionized on the right, right now. If it is being unleashed that you can shoot people and be a hero, I don’t know what preparation we can possibly do for that.”

Personally, I think the Fight Back Table’d do well to sit a laptop on their table and watch a few hours of Twitter video — it ain’t the Right that’s burning down America.

No matter, FBT’s got some ideas on how to save the U.S. from people who aren’t threats to it:

Beyond demonstrations (in simulations of violent conservative upheaval), Team Biden was also able to recruit 1,000 influencers, all living presidents, moderate Republican governors, and, eventually, some Republican senators to denounce Trump’s refusal to keep counting ballots or to leave office. From there, more hardball tactics followed. The simulation saw Team Biden work with “local Democratic elected officials to call on the Adjutant General of the National Guard, along with representatives from the technology sector, to monitor vote counting.” They also attempted “a capital strike and a work stoppage as part of an overall effort to push corporate leaders to insist that all ballots be counted.”

Well, thanks for keeping us safe. Perhaps y’all could now MoveOn to Portland, Chicago, Rochester, and other major cities and work your magic there. Those ninja-suited, skateboard-wielding Reagan Republicans are really tearin’ up the joint.

Those molotov-cocktail-throwing, tyrannical Alex Keaton-types are really doin’ a number on us.
