In case you missed it: On Tuesday evening, a man shot up a French Christmas market, murdering three people and injuring 12 others.
The incident at the Strasbourg market resulted in France raising its security threat level to the highest category, bolstering border controls and protection at other Christmas locations and events.
The man fired in three different places before having two shootouts with soldiers on patrol.
Now reports say the suspect — 29-year-old Cherif Chekatt — yelled “Allahu Akbar” before firing upon the Christmas crowd.
Says the BBC:
The gunman shouted “Allahu Akbar” (“God is greatest”) as he opened fire.
Le suspect de l'attentat de #Strasbourg est Chekatt Chérif, 29 ans et fiché S.
Cela fait des mois que nous demandons l'interpellation des fichés S islamistes !

Chekatt — who’s served jail time in the past — was already being watched by police, having been suspected of Islamic extremism. Police found a grenade in his home.
The Christmas market is a nearly 450-year-old tradition, seeing two million visitors each year.
As reported by The Daily Caller, earlier in the month, an intoxicated man threatened patrons of the market with a hatchet, shouting “Allahu Akbar” multiple times.
With this latest craziness in France, where is the brouhaha over the shooter’s theorized ties to Islamic radicalism? To be sure, a murder spree is vile, irrespective of motives. However, once can surely bet that, had the assailant yelled anything that could be possibly tied to Christianity or the Right, it would’ve made the front page. Even moreso, had the targeted locale been in the throes of celebrating a Muslim holiday.
All terrorism is wrong; I wish the mainstream media held a similarly even view. Instead, we regularly see bias in the reporting of heinous crimes, such as the MSM’s attempts to tie the Pittsburgh synagogue shooter to Trump (please see here). And then there was also this.
Given the media’s bias — not to mention the Left’s push for open borders — something tells me we’ll hear very little more about the Islamic terroristic component to this tragedy in France.
