Eye of the Tiger: RNC Head Ronna Romney McDaniel Thinks November Could be Rocky

November quickly approaches, as does news of the country’s political fate. President Trump has made big promises, and he’s pushed a conservative agenda thus far. But upheaval in Congress could impede the Artist of the Deal’s cool moves.

Who’s lookin’ good in the race? As covered in my previous article, a Washington Post/ABC poll shows Democrats headed for a House hoedown, while CBS indicates a blue blowout is “far from guaranteed.”

What does Ronna Romney McDaniel, chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, think about the likelihood of a conservative conquering?

While being interviewed by John Catsimatidis on New York’s AM 970, she noted an “energy” on the other side of the aisle, birthed by Hillary Clinton’s wretched defeat in 2016:

“Democrats have energy right now. They thought they were going to win the White House in 2016. They took their eyes off what they needed to do to win that election. And they’re coming back strong in 2018, hoping to flip the majority.”

So the Dems are like Rocky in part III, after his beatdown by Clubber Lang. He’s lost his trainer and the title, and now he’s got the fire again. Clubber (Trump) was a hungry newcomer, hence the total knockout. But now Rocky’s running on the beach to awesome music, and he’s poised for a recapture of victory.

Or maybe the Democrats will really stink up the joint. Obviously, McDaniel hopes so, and she has an idea of how to give Dems the ol’ 1-2:

“So we have to match them step for step with their energy, dollar for dollar, in order to keep these majorities. It’s going to come down to what vision do we have for our country. I don’t think ‘resist and obstruct’ is a vision that helps the American people.”

POW!

Somewhat in sync with the Washington Post survey, Ronna thinks Democrats could do some damage in the House. However, she believes the Senate is a fight the GOP can win:

“I think we will gain seats in the Senate, and it will be a battle to keep our majority in the House. I would say most Americans would say we are on the right track, and they’ll keep Republicans in the majority.”

One Republican who could possibly get knocked to the mat is former presidential candidate and Lone Star State Senator Ted Cruz. According to White House budget director Mick Mulvaney, opponent Beto O’Rourke is closing in with a mean Left hook:

“There’s a very real possibility we will win a race for Senate in Florida and lose a race in Texas for Senate, OK?”

Perhaps unmoved by a Cruz crushing, President Trump remains optimistic:

“Republicans are doing really well with the Senate Midterms. Races that we were not even thinking about winning are now very close, or even leading. Election night will be very interesting indeed!”

He was pretty pumped on August 8th:

“The Republicans have now won 8 out of 9 House Seats, yet if you listen to the Fake News Media you would think we are being clobbered. Why can’t they play it straight, so unfair to the Republican Party and in particular, your favorite President!”

We’re not getting clobbered…

And hopefully, we won’t get Clubbered.

Thank you for reading! What do you think about November’s prospects? Also, what was your favorite Rocky movie or fight, and why? I look forward to hearing from all of you in the Comments section below.
