In Iowa today, Sarah Palin introduced Donald Trump at a rally. The crowd did not receive her very warmly. And when she went after Iowa Representative Steve King with a very nasty slam, the crowd was absolutely dead silent.

Palin was obviously angry and striking back at what she calls King’s assertion Trump bought her support.

“Maybe he’s forgotten some of his heart in the heartland. Maybe he’s got a touch of that Potomac fever there in DC. Maybe he’s been out in a cornfield too long huffing ethanol or something.”

Palin has critically misjudged Iowa voters. Let’s see, attacking corn fields and ethanol and basically implying that being from Iowa means you’re a dumb hick addicted to government subsidies. Sure that seems like a good sell. And now here’s Donald Trump!

Way to warm up the crowd, Governor. Yikes.
