This is what we voted for.
On Tuesday, Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons spoke with the Newsmax network and gave an update on the ongoing sweep of Minneapolis businesses for illegal aliens.

Mr. Lyons said:
We have the largest immigration operation ever, taking place right now. It's a great effort by ICE. Both of our components, enforcement and removal operations and homeland security investigations, they're on the ground. HSI agents, as you've seen in the media, have been going door to door in a lot of these suspected, you know, companies, that are not only hiring illegal aliens, that shouldn't even be in the country, but are also being involved in potential human smuggling, human trafficking cases, but also looking at these fraud cases as well.
But one thing we should really note too is the facts that states like Minnesota that have a strong sanctuary city policy and sanctuary protections, so attract other illegal aliens to come there to take advantage of welfare, public assistance, SNAP benefits, and that's just a magnet that brings that criminal element that can hide in plain sight. That's what we're finding up in Minnesota.
You know, very proud to say that the Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, she was up there today. She ran an awesome, successful operation. Got a suspected murderer and a wanted rapist that was hiding in plain sight there in Minneapolis. And that's what ICE agents are doing on the ground up there. They're out there taking the fight to these sanctuary jurisdictions that allow these criminally illegal aliens to roam the street and take advantage of the public assistance that should be there for every taxpaying American.
This is, after all, what we pay those folks for.

Here's the thing: Sooner or later, this entire "sanctuary" jurisdiction thing is going to have to be dealt with. And by dealt with, I mean shut down. This will require action by Congress; the president has some power to restrict federal funds, but to truly slam the door on this idiocy, this blatant defiance of constitutional, statutory immigration law, Congress is going to have to act.
Todd Lyons has every reason to strut a little bit regarding this operation. The ICE and HSI people are doing great work here, diving deep into a "sanctuary" jurisdiction and no doubt making themselves the targets of plenty of local opprobrium.
Of course, people anywhere in the world should have the right to travel and to seek to relocate, if it's in their interests to do so. But to the people of a nation, the nation is their property; a nation is a defined structure, an association of people (a voluntary association, I might add – if you don’t like it in the U.S., you are certainly free to leave) and not only do we have the right to protect our property, our nation, against invasion, we also have the right of disassociation – the right to choose who we allow to join our group. That choice is made by our immigration laws and enforced by our immigration authorities. "Sanctuary" jurisdictions fly in the face of these principles; they are seeking to impose their choice, allowing everyone in with no regard for the law, on the rest of us.
Right now, after four years of neglect, our immigration authorities are doing a pretty good job. Now it's time to get a legislative fix to all this "sanctuary" nonsense.
Editor’s Note: We voted for mass deportations, not mass amnesty. Help us continue to fight back against those trying to go against the will of the American people.
