Hillary Clinton: A Woman GOP President Would Be 'Handmaiden to the Patriarchy'

It's funny how losing a close presidential election, especially a real nail-biter like the 2000 election (were I Ralph Nader I would still be avoiding any gathering of Florida Democrats), can cause the loser to become unhinged. Losing the 2000 election left Al Gore reduced to a shouting, hectoring, climate-panic-inducing mess.

Two thousand sixteen wasn't a particularly close election. President Donald Trump won comfortably, but with all the polls leading up to that election showing Her Imperial Majesty Hillary I, Dowager-Empress of Chappaqua, winning a decisive victory - well, it's clearly had a negative impact on Her Imperial Highness. I remember that evening well, as loyal sidekick Rat and I were in our annual elk/deer camp, and I had gone to bed rather depressed, fearing we were facing four years under the most deeply and fundamentally corrupt political figure since Caligula. In the morning, I got up, hopped in the truck to warm it up, and flipped on the satellite radio - when Rat climbed in, all I could do was to look at him and say, "Holy crap, he pulled it off!"

Ever since, Her Imperial Majesty has gone... well, nuts. In her latest unhinged rant, she's claiming that any future woman Republican president would be a "handmaiden to the patriarchy."

Hillary Clinton took a swipe at female Republicans in an interview earlier this month, saying they would all be servants of "the patriarchy" if they became president.

"Well, first of all, don’t be a handmaiden to the patriarchy, which kind of eliminates every woman on the other side of the aisle, except for very few," Clinton said during a May 1 discussion at New York City's 92nd Street Y when asked by moderator Margaret Hoover what advice she had for the first female President of the United States.

Well, that's a pip. What is it with liberal Democrats and the endless "Handmaid's Tale" references? Any of these kooks who think that all women to the right of Leon Trotsky are just helpless servants of the men in the Republican party ought to meet my wife, a Bronze Star recipient, tough as nails, fiercely independent-minded, and a woman with more physical and emotional courage than anyone I've ever known.

It's worth noting which Republican women Her Imperial Majesty does approve of:

Clinton pointed to Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski as one of the "few" women in the Republican Party she respected. Murkowski has been a strong critic of Trump at times, including when she voted to convict him during his second impeachment trial in 2021.

Clinton responded affirmatively when Hoover mentioned former GOP Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, who endorsed Biden – and then Harris – in 2024 and helped lead the January 6 House committee investigation against Trump.

Well, there you have it. Her Imperial Majesty approves of Republican women who are Republican in name only - yes, there's that acronym I rarely use, but in these cases, it applies.

Hillary Clinton, for all that she remains a legend in her mind, is way past her sell-by date. Nobody but the far-left places any credence in her utterings. She lost any relevance she ever had with her loss in the 2016 election. That loss has clearly left her unbalanced; it's long past time that she just piped down and went away, leaving the American political scene a little more peaceful - and rational.
