The Jeffrey Epstein saga may be years in the unfolding. There are hundreds of people involved, perps and victims; some very fancy folks have been implicated, and there is the matter of protecting the victims' privacy to take into account. But the public also has a right to know what happened, and the Epstein files should be released as soon as the victims' considerations are taken into account.
In a press briefing published on C-SPAN, Attorney General Pam Bondi stated that the FBI is reviewing those files now.

AG Bondi said:
The FBI, they're reviewing - there are tens of thousands of videos, of Epstein with children, or child porn. And there are hundreds of victims. And no one victim will ever get released. It's just the volume, but the FBI is diligently going through that.
Think on that for a moment. As AG Bondi points out, there are hundreds of victims, and there are tens of thousands of videos. This is a heinous crime on an unprecedented level.

Judge Orders Release of Names of Over 175 of Jeffrey Epstein's 'High-Profile Associates'
We know, of course, the names of some of the people who visited Jeffrey Epstein's notorious island, and it's a pretty fancy list of names. And while we the people have a right to know these names, especially since some of them are elected officials, the victims have rights as well. The FBI should, and apparently is, making sure that the identities of these victims will not be released willy-nilly into the media.
Bear in mind the trauma these kids went through. An enormously wealthy and corrupt man, aided by his paramour, enticed these kids to his island by promising them who knows what, and now they are part of an international scandal that has the potential to break down a lot of doors. There are powerful people involved, and if the victims are to be identified, it should only be by their own agreement, and if there is a prosecutory reason to do so. Also, every video, every photograph, is evidence and has to be handled as such.
There are other considerations. Not only might the victims face backlash from their abusers, but they would also face opprobrium from many in the media, as well as anyone who knows them now. It's not fair and it's not right, but that's how these things work.
While we all want to see these files, to see who is implicated and who was involved in organizing this, the FBI needs to take the time necessary to identify all the victimss and take what steps are required to protect them, to protect their privacy, and if they are called upon to testify - and they may well be, as any possible defendents have the constitutional right to confront their accuser - that this is handled properly.
This is, based on AG Bondi's statement, what the FBI is doing. That's as it should be. Jeffrey Epstein's victims have suffered enough.
