I love her.

How could you not when you have someone who is being told how smart she is and is blowing up the very infrastructure used to effect change. She really thinks she is super duper smart and I find that amazingly cute.

Democrat upstart Alexandria Ocasio Cortez on Friday announced she has formed a new Political Action Committee that will get progressives elected. Even if said progressive is in a moderate district for Democrats or a Republican-leaning one. You see, she did this in a 20+ D district so it should work everywhere right?

From NBC News

Progressive figure Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., on Friday announced her first set of congressional endorsements for the upcoming 2020 election through a new political action committee that seeks to elect progressives to the House and Senate.

Ocasio-Cortez announced on Twitter that her new PAC, Courage to Change, was announcing its first endorsements of candidates who haven’t served in Congress. They include Cristina Tzintzún Ramirez who’s running for Senate in Texas, and for the House, she’s endorsing Teresa Fernandez of New Mexico, Kara Eastman of Nebraska, Georgette Gomez of California, Marie Newman of Illinois, Jessica Cisneros of Texas and Samelys Lopez of New York.

“Creating progressive change takes more than winning the White House. We must also elect progressives in the House and Senate who have the courage to take on corporate interests and fight for justice for all,” the PAC’s first tweet said Friday.

The congresswoman’s spokesman for her re-election campaign, Corbin Trent, told NBC News that this is only the first batch of endorsements and Ocasio-Cortez plans to make more during the current cycle

I seriously love her.

Cortez is correct about you need more than just people in the White House to effect change. Getting peeps elected in the legislative chamber is critical. However in districts where there is a thin line between Republicans and Democrats having someone of your party that is currently in the majority being challenged from their own base is not smart. Also, in those same districts with an open seat, you are not always going to get the wild-eyed crazy AOC-Bernie like candidate elected. There is a science to this.

Yet AOC thinks being she lucked out so why not more like her.

I’m not complaining. Even though the lady has a passionate following she is great fodder for those in the leadership of her own party and for the rest of us that just love her antics. I know I will personally miss her when she finally gets redistricted out after the 2020 census in 2022 and she then writes a book in crayon and goes on the book tour of shame.

Even though she won’t be an elected official anymore, her blow Democrats up PAC will live on and my admiration and love for her will never cease. If only we could duplicate her somehow and watch Nancy Pelosi down a whole bottle of vodka when she finds out.
