This lady is gearing up to be one of the great Congress-critters of all time. I can FEEL IT.

Congressperson-Elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has already made waves in D.C with her comments about not being able to afford a couch to crash on until her job starts next month and threatening Donald Trump Jr.

Thankfully, she is the gift that keeps on giving.

Cortez went to Instagram to announce that she was taking a week off to jump into some “self-care” and asked her followers for some tips on how to do this.

According to Fox News…

“I am starting a week of self-care where I am taking the week off and taking care of me. I don’t know how to do that though, so I would appreciate any and all self-care tips,” she said in an Instagram video.

“For working people, immigrants, & the poor, self-care is political — not because we want it to be, but bc of the inevitable shaming of someone doing a face mask while financially stressed. So I’ve decided to take others along with me on IG as I learn what self-care even means and why it’s important,” she added on Twitter.

How novel.

I don’t doubt for a moment that the job she had before is not nearly as pressure-packed as the one she is about to be sworn in for on Jan 3rd. being a Congressperson is a different gig all together and not one that many people would want.

However, once you get a handle on the new time constraints you have on your life, the proper thing to do is to ADJUST to those new realities. You can still make time for yoga and cooking salmon that I’m sure was not happy to be slaughtered while it was happily swimming in the ocean.

as she says above, even have time to do a face mask.

The working people and poor do try to do self-care when they can and they do not go to Instagram to announce it to the world for some sympathy likes.   I bet they also do not go and lose themselves in upstate New York as she announced.

This is not picking on her going to take a break, just pointing out that she has to announce this to gain sympathy and really has nothing in common with the working poor she claims to represent.

Fifteen days and counting until America gains their new elected clueless sweetheart. I can’t WAIT.
