“A foole and his money is soone parted.” – John Bridges (1587)
Isn't is a shame that when we hear about a leftist doing an amazingly stupid or obnoxious thing, our minds often go to how much money friends of that stupid or obnoxious person will raise for them on GoFundMe? The person, no matter how egregious or vile their behavior, will quickly be painted as the real victim, and the donations from fellow deranged leftists will start pouring in.
We've seen it time and again, and it's playing out right now in the most enraging way.
I wrote an article Wednesday about a man named T.J. Sabula, a Ford Automotive Company employee who shouted "pedophile protector!" at the president as he toured a truck plant in Michigan on Tuesday. For his efforts, Sabula was on the receiving end of a one-finger salute from the president, delivered along with a stern "f--- you" in Sabula's general direction.
The title of that article was "Obnoxious Ford Worker Who Got 'One-Finger Salute' From Trump Learns Actions Have Consequences." And, yes, there was a consequence for Sabula, namely that he was placed on leave by Ford pending an investigation. Huzzah for that.
But, you guessed it, there's already a GoFundMe page for this fool and it's closing in on $500,000 as of the writing of this article. I'm not going to link to it – it's easy enough to find through a Google search – but I will share how T.J.'s friends framed the fundraiser:
Please help us raise funds for patriot TJ Sabula!! TJ was suspended from his job at the Ford Automotive Company for correctly calling President Donald J Trump a Pedophile Protector!! Let’s rally and support TJ and help him pay some bills (and force DJT to release the Trump/Epstein Files) LFG!!
Such a patriot, this guy! He beclowned himself in front of the most powerful man in the world and says he has no regrets: “As far as calling him out, definitely no regrets whatsoever.” Sabula's your garden-variety, low-info bomb thrower.
On Wednesday, Sabula’s Facebook profile photo was an image of Trump with a raised middle finger and the page included some previously posted anti-Trump political cartoons. He didn’t vote in the 2024 election, voting records show, though he is registered in Detroit.
For this, T.J. Sabula is going to be financially set for life. Not only that, his union (the UAW), says it will fight to "ensure that our member receives the full protection of all negotiated contract language safeguarding his job and his rights as a union member."

President Trump Strikes Exact Right Tone, Reveals What He Would Say to Renee Nicole Good's Father
Then there's the case of Rebecca Good, the "widow" of Renee Nicole Good. Renee Good is the "Minneapolis mom" who was shot and killed last week after failing to heed commands from ICE agents to step out of her Honda Pilot. She chose, instead, to gun her two-ton weapon at the ICE agent as her "wife" screamed, "Drive, baby, drive!"
Again, no link, but here's some of the wording from the Rebecca Good GoFundMe page.
Please support the widow and family of Renee Good as they grapple with the devastating loss of their wife and mother.
Renee was pure sunshine, pure love. She will be desperately missed.
Grab your blood pressure medication because this next part might send you to the hospital: that fundraiser brought in $1.5 million in just two days. The person who set up the page paused donations when it reached that eye-watering sum, perhaps sensing on some level that it didn't look good that the "Drive, baby, drive" agitator had instantly become a millionaire.
So, in the space of one week, the left has elevated to martyr status – and quite a rich martyr status, at that – a woman who encouraged her "wife" to "drive, baby, drive!" a lethal weapon at an ICE agent and a midwit line worker with no self control. Just amazing.
What's the lesson here? Make a fool of yourself publicly or endanger you and those around you, and you shall be richly rewarded. The thing that is most enraging is that every single one of us knows someone who's truly in need, but struggles to raise enough funds to get them through a hard time.
Platforms like GoFundMe have basically turned into moral laundering machines, converting bad behavior, reckless endangerment, and public idiocy into cash and clout. And as long as there’s a dopamine hit and a donation button to be had for every act of left-wing lunacy, the lesson will be clear: don’t think, don’t behave, don’t obey – just perform and the money will follow.
