Star of "Pineapple Express" and "127 Hours" Skewered for Hypocrisy at Golden Globes

How many of you subjected yourself to the tedious mewling of pampered celebs by watching the Golden Globes on Sunday?

Everybody wore black, because wearing black to protest sexual harassment in their industry is so woke.

Beats actually doing something about it, amirite?

I shouldn’t be so cynical. They did more than wear black.

They wore pins, too, that said, “Time’s Up.”

Whether it was in jest or to test the efficacy of the black clothes-pin combo, the night’s winner for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy, James Franco maybe should have thought twice about his appearance at the event.

Upon seeing Franco accept the award (for his role in “The Disaster Artist”), it prompted several women to speak up in disgust, claiming Franco was a perpetrator of just the kind of behavior the night’s wardrobe was meant to condemn.

Actress Ally Sheedy was the first to call out Franco (as well as Christian Slater), in several tweets.

“Ok wait. Bye. Christian Slater and James Franco at a table on @goldenglobes #MeToo,” Sheedy – who was directed by Franco in 2014 play The Long Shift – wrote in a tweet she later deleted.

She added: “James Franco just won. Please never ever ask me why I left the film/TV business,” Sheedy wrote in another.

It would seem she’s not a fan, and she’s definitely implying something.

She wasn’t alone.

Actress Violet Paley was a little more forward and blunt.

Franco, in the past, has been accused of propositioning a 17 year old fan on Instagram, after meeting her outside a Broadway show, several years ago.

For his part, Franco wrote off the incident as simply bad judgment on his part, and his falling prey to the way social media works.

Maybe, but if the current climate of going hard at men in positions of celebrity and power who act like creeps behind the scenes keeps its trajectory, expect the stuffed closets of Franco to come bursting open, real soon.
