For Hillary Clinton, This New Poll Is like the Election All over Again

We’re just not that into you, girl.

Poor Hillary. She didn’t get the message after the election. I mean, seriously, when you’re so awful you can lose to Donald Trump, the smart move isn’t to try and force your suckage on the people, non-stop. What you do is go into seclusion and really do some personal inventory.

That’s not what Hillary Clinton did.

She wrote a book called “What Happened” and then went on tour, because she just can’t accept her new reality.

She won’t go away.

A new Gallup poll, however, suggests that that’s exactly what people wish she would do: GO AWAY!

Clinton now holds a 36 percent approval rating among Americans, according to Gallup, down five percentage points since June. The rating falls below Clinton’s previous low of 38 percent in August to September of last year.

The former first lady also reached a new high disapproval rating of 61 percent. Clinton has bucked the trend of defeated presidential candidates gaining popularity after the election, Gallup says.

No, really. She wasn’t that popular before, so this shouldn’t be a shock.

And just to drive that point home, Trump has the lowest approval ratings of any first term president in polling history. He rises just above or dips below 40 percent, regularly.

Her approval ratings are lower than Trump’s.

Former President Bill Clinton is also looking at his worst numbers since 2001, according to Gallup. Only 45 percent approve of the former president, down five points from November of last year, and 50 percent disapprove.

To be fair, with this new era of accountability and calling out sexual predators among powerful men, Bill Clinton’s past has been put in the spotlight, once again. Not that it makes a lot of difference. He’s retired and won’t be running for office again.

Now, if we can convince his wife that her quest for the ultimate prize is in vain. Her husband’s coattails took her as far as they could, and now it’s time to jump off and fade into obscurity.

I have a feeling she won’t be that easily dissuaded.
