Senator Tom Cotton has sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland demanding he open a national security investigation into what CNN, AP, Reuters, and The New York Times knew and when they knew it in regards to the photographic evidence of Gazan, and it seems Hamas, freelancers actively participating in the attacks on Israel on October 7.
I write regarding reports that so-called “journalists” employed by the Associated Press, CNN, New York Times, and Reuters accompanied Hamas terrorists into Israel during the October 7 terror attack. These individuals almost certainly knew about the attack in advance, and even participated by accompanying Hamas terrorists during the attack and filming the heinous acts. In at least one case, one of the individuals affiliated with these media outlets even took a selfie while being kissed on the cheek by a Hamas leader who helped mastermind the attack. Providing material support or assistance, including funding, to a terrorist organization such as Hamas is a federal crime. The Department of Justice must immediately open a national security investigation into these four media outlets to determine whether they or their leadership committed federal crimes by supporting Hamas terrorists.
See RedState's coverage of this scandal: Disturbing 'Journalism' Ethics: Did News Wires Have Journalists Embedded With Hamas on October 7?
All of Cotton's points are dead on. No one has ever denied that the so-called "journalists" who work in Gaza are affiliated with Hamas. The only explanation for about a half-dozen freelancers working for four news organizations being on-site when Hamas terrorists broke through the barrier fence into Israel is that they knew where and when to show up. As Ian Fleming said, “Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action.” Four times shows membership in a criminal conspiracy. To pretend that an organization that planned this operation in such secrecy that it escaped the notice of multiple intelligence agencies just "happened" to be at the right place at the right time.
Hamas is a designated terrorist organization. Providing funding to Hamas is a federal crime. Funding Hamas terrorists masquerading as journalists is a crime, and as the banking industry has found out through "know your customer" laws, not knowing your employee is a terrorist is not a particularly great defense. Besides, a news organization, particularly one that has a record of sharing office space with a terrorist group, claiming they weren't aware of the activities of their freelancers doesn't make their reporting terribly credible.
There is literally no doubt that these people were on site when civilians were slaughtered because they documented their activities for pay. As I posted earlier (Hundreds of Journalists Sign Letter Demanding Israel Be Blamed for Everything), we have these people at the scenes of murder:
Never forget what they did to Shani Louk!!

Where are all the activists, LGBT+, women organizations? They broke her leg and even paraded her naked in truck.

We have them present when Hamas breached the security at a kibbutz before starting their murderous rampage:
We even have one riding a motorcycle with a terrorist cell and holding a hand grenade.

Just as The New York Times circled the wagon to protect their Hamas "journalist" freelancers (NYT Puts Out Astonishing Statement on 'Photojournalist' Who Was With Hamas During Terror Attack), they sent a snarky non-response to Senator Cotton.

Notice how they deny something no one has claimed (a New York Times employee) while ignoring the allegation (a New York Times freelancer who knew when and where Hamas terrorists would attack Israel).
MSNBC's one-man Fifth Column and resident terror simp Mehdi Hassan was appalled.
Cotton should apologize and withdraw his letter but he won’t do either, of course. https://t.co/7yySWJjGKV

Garland will not investigate because they are part of the protection network for Joe Biden.
But there may be final justice that is more cost-effective than a federal criminal prosecution. Israel has indicated that it considers these people to have been members of the Hamas attack, and it will hunt them down; see Israel Announces Take No Prisoners Approach to 'Journalists' Who Participated in Hamas Attack.
