This is the season for political hits. And in a sign that the Biden campaign is nowhere near as confident about November as its trained poodles in the various polling organizations would have you believe, they are pulling out all the stops.
Last week, it was the totally and obviously made-up Jeffrey Goldberg piece in the Atlantic, which, if it is to be believed, would require multiple emails to have been written two years ago in anticipation of this event. Right now, I think we’re at 21 on-the-record denials of the story and zero on-the-record confirmations. (READ our coverage to the Goldberg fabulist essay.)
Today, it was the rollout of the Bob Woodward book “Rage.” (READ Trump Reveals Existence of New Nuclear Weapon to Bob Woodward…Or Did He? Never Mind, Because the Left Still Went Insane and The Woodward Tape Is Another Leftist Smear.) That’s just the beginning.
The rollout of Bob Woodward’s anti-Trump book started this week. The rollout for HR McMaster’s anti-Trump book starts next week. And right after that is through, the rollout for Russian collusion hoaxer John Brennan’s deranged anti-Trump book will begin.

If this was the planned part of the parade of hits, the ad hoc hits started rolling out today.
On July 8, Murphy said, acting Homeland Security secretary Chad Wolf told him that an “intelligence notification” regarding Russian disinformation efforts should be “held” because it was unflattering to Trump, who has long derided the Kremlin’s interference as a “hoax” that was concocted by his opponents to delegitimize his victory in 2016.
His attorney, who, by the way, is the same guy who represents Eric Ciaramella, the anonymous CIA whistleblower from the laughable impeachment circle-jerk, has assured us this is VERY IMPORTANT:
“Mr. Murphy followed proper lawful whistleblower rules in reporting serious allegations of misconduct against DHS leadership, particularly involving political distortion of intelligence analysis and retaliation,” his attorney, Mark Zaid, said in a statement. “We have alerted both the Executive and Legislative Branches of these allegations and we will appropriately cooperate with oversight investigations, especially in a classified setting.”
Adam Schiff jumped on this story like Ed Buck on a gay hooker with a drug overdose:
We’ve received a whistleblower complaint alleging DHS suppressed intel reports on Russian election interference, altered intel to match false Trump claims and made false statements to Congress.
This puts our national security at risk. We will investigate:https://t.co/Z7npo3P6zv

This, at first blush, looks very much like the Vindman allegation. A spoiled brat doesn’t get to set the agenda, so he concocts some story that can be routed directly to Schiff and his munchkins. Or, because he’s under fire because of his own misconduct and is now trying to save his own ass:

From there, it becomes a media feeding frenzy as Schiff feeds false stuff, but the media is just too lazy to bother checking. Making this irresistible is the fact that this guy is fingering Chad Wolf and Ken Cuccinelli, two guys the media absolutely loathe. And, for good measure, this involves Russia. This is key because Russia really is a piker in terms of crass election interference when compared to China. Still, the Democrats can’t hit China because too many of their senior people have some ties to China they’d rather not have revealed. (Whose chauffeur was that who was a ChiCom agent?)
The story will burn out because the investigation will not be finished before Election Day, and that is what this whole story is about. The purpose is just to try to fire up the same idiots who bought the Collusion Hoax with yet another story about how Putin wants Trump to win.
This just in
DHS: The Dept generally does not comment on..specifics of OIG referrals, but we flatly deny..there is any truth to the merits of..Murphy’s claim. DHS looks fwd to..results of any..investigation..we expect it will conclude that no retaliatory action was taken against..Murphy
