BREAKING. Kavanaugh Nomination Clears the Senate Judiciary Committee

Despite Jeff Flake’s last minute effort, the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh has been sent to the Senate for a vote.

Senate Judiciary Committee votes party line 11-10 to report Kavanaugh nomination to the full Senate.

Senate Judiciary advances Kavanaugh's nomination to full Senate, Flake votes "aye" with the understanding that a floor vote could be delayed no more than a week in order to let the FBI do an investigation that is “limited in time and scope.”

That was Grassley being totally brilliant. Flake just tried to hijack the entire process and demand another week. Grassley cut him off with the vote to send it to the floor. Now – the nomination goes to the floor of the Senate approved 11-10.
