Once I was described by a dKos diarist as someone who would rather pull off his own head than admit to being wrong. As my wife would tell you, there is a lot of truth to that statement. And I have to admit that there has probably never been a year where I’ve been as wrong as I have this year. And I’m in good company. I think the collective predictions of most of us on the right during the GOP primary and the general election calls into question if we actually understand what we are observing well enough to talk about it.
