As we’ve said time and again, Donald Trump has an epic ability to demean, degrade and beclown not his opponents but anyone who associates with him.
Last night Melania Trump gave a speech that has had any good qualities it possessed subsumed in a storm of low-level plagiarism and parody. This is sad. Despite her horrific taste in men, Melania Trump seems like the nicest person in the entire Trump menagerie family and she did not want to give the speech in the first place. She was merely the first victim of the Touch-of-Trump in this fiasco. Now RNC communications director, Sean Spicer, has had the Tiny-Fist-of-Trump inserted, nay, wedged firmly in his… well… in him.

“Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony said ‘This is your dream, anything you can do in your dreams you can do now.’ I mean, if we want to take a bunch of phrases and run ’em through Google and say, hey, who else has said them, I could come up with a list in five minutes. And that’s what this is.”
No you have not ingested massive quantities of pharmaceuticals and washed them down with a fifth of Kentucky Gentleman. You have not suffered a psychotic break. You have witnessed a grown man and alleged communications professional claiming that Melania Trump’s plagiarism was inspired by Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony.
And, naturally, there is the fact that Twilight Sparkle did not exist until 2010, possibly revealing an even larger scandal of My Little Pony characters plagiarizing Michelle Obama.
