The San Bernardino shooters were still at large when the shameful excuse for a human and a man that occupies the Oval Office was already trying to make political hay from the tragedy. As his minions and acolytes were advocating killing NRA board members and belittling anyone who offered prayers for the families and victims, Obama was making inane noises about gun control:

…And there are some steps we could take not to eliminate every one of these mass shootings, but to improve the odds that they don’t happen as frequently: common-sense gun safety laws, stronger background checks.

And for those who are concerned about terrorism, some may be aware of the fact that we have a no-fly list where people can’t get on planes, but those same people who we don’t allow to fly could go into a store right now in the United States and buy a firearm and there’s nothing that we can do to stop them. That’s a law that needs to be changed…

We don’t know why Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik, perpetrated this outrage, or how they got their weapons. But, from what we do know it is very unlikely that either would have had any difficulty purchasing a rifle or pistol legally anywhere as they did not have disqualifying information (assuming you don’t want to add “Muslim” to the categories prevented from owning firearms). In fact, the Brady Campaign gives California an “A” rating on gun control laws. If they acquired them illegally, then no “common sense” law would have deterred them anymore than the laws against murder did. As both of the shooters had recently returned from Saudi Arabia, it is a pretty safe bet that neither was on a no-fly list.

Let’s be serious. Barack Obama does not want fewer mass shootings. He wants more. He is the man whose administration enabled the killing of several hundred Mexicans and Americans via Fast and Furious. Why was this misbegotten operation allowed? To create bloodshed and facts on the ground to increase anger at the NRA and gun makers and gun owners. For two years he had control of both the House and the Senate. What “common sense” gun control legislation did he pass? Zero. What did the cretinous [mc_name name=’Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA)’ chamber=’house’ mcid=’P000197′ ] and deranged [mc_name name=’Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV)’ chamber=’senate’ mcid=’R000146′ ] do? Nothing.

As with so much else, Obama resembles your crotchety, mean-spirited old maiden aunt. He doesn’t want solutions, he wants issues and grievances because that is how he rolls. He wants mass shootings because they become fundraising items for Democrat candidates, the DNC, and the for the web of “non-profits” that fund progressive causes. He wants shootings because this gives him a cudgel to beat the NRA and Republicans with.
