'Poetica' Justice: What a Woke NYC Coffee Shop Told a Jewish Congressman Just Got the DOJ's Attention

Amazingly, there is a statement on Poetica Coffee's website that reads "whoever walks through the door is treated with unconditional dignity." Except for Jewish customers, it would seem. So much for "COEXIST" or whatever, right?

More Reflecting Pool Arrests, and What a Local News Team Saw Raises Eyebrows

These "activists" don't seem to get the irony. They're yelling about Americans defending a national monument. But they're so obsessed with being against President Donald Trump that they're the ones doing this foolish stuff. Which one looks worse to most Americans? Hint: it isn't the National Guard. The activists don't seem to get that this is our Pool - we should all want it to be in good condition.

'The Deep State Firings Have Begun' — Reports Indicate Acting DNI Pulte Carrying Out Mass Terminations

What does all this mean? It means Pulte is still on the job and essentially able to go wild, since, as Acting Director, he does not need to face lawmakers at potentially testy confirmation hearings. According to multiple reports, that’s exactly what he’s doing as he’s allegedly sending out pink slips all over the place.

Bearing Arms — Three Dead, Including Police Officer, in Montreal Shooting

I'm sure we're going to be hearing a lot more about this, and the ramifications for our Canadian friends, but the truth is that there shouldn't be any that impact the average Canadian gun owner. They aren't the ones who did anything wrong.

HotAir — Do Canadians Hate America Now?

Does it matter if Canada hates us? I'm not sure it does. As long as they're nice to us in person what they say behind our backs probably doesn't matter.

While he appears to rail against nepotism, he is the very definition of it.

Townhall — So, That's How the Montreal Shooter Described Himself

The suspect described himself as an “incel,” who was also anti-capitalist and anti-liberal. In other words, he was a whack job.

Full Court Press...

After a quiet weekend, we had several notable court decisions on Monday, including:

  • ✅ In Doe v. Trump (USCIS policies re: benefits for non-citizens), Judge Julie Kobick (Massachusetts) DENIES plaintiffs' motion to enforce preliminary injunctions.
  • ❌ In Aragon v. Rollins (SNAP foods), Judge Amy Berman Jackson (D.C.) GRANTS plaintiffs' motion for summary judgment, DENIES defendants' cross-motion for summary judgment.
  • ❌ In In re. Donald J. Trump (offshoot of J.G.G. v. Trump), D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals VACATES its April 14 order granting the admin's petition for mandamus, reinstates administrative stay, and sets case for rehearing en banc in September.
  • ❌ In U.S. v. DeMarinis (voter rolls), Judge Stephanie Gallagher (Maryland) GRANTS defendants' motion to dismiss.
  • ✅ In U.S. v. Allen (WHCD shooting), Judge Trevor McFadden (D.C.) DENIES Defendant's motion to disqualify Blanche and Pirro from prosecuting the case.

And SCOTUS will be handing down decisions today, beginning at 10:00 AM — I can't tell you which ones will be announced, but I can promise you there will be at least two "big" ones.

COMING ATTRACTIONS

President Trump is set to meet with Senate Republicans on Wednesday when he attends their Steering lunch — lots to discuss (SAVE America Act, FISA §702 reauthorization, the ODNI nomination...)

And later that evening, he'll be part of the Freedom 250 Kickoff Event on the National Mall

President Trump will head to Turkey for the NATO Summit July 7-8.

MORNING MUSING

I guess we've reached the point where it isn't even about decline or decay — there are people (many, it seems) who would rather deface and destroy monuments, landmarks, and places of beauty than give Donald Trump a "win."

I'd suggest said people need to take a long, hard look in the mirror, but I'm starting to wonder if they'd even see a reflection.

LIGHTER FARE

So sweet
