If Danny Gianfrancesco has anything to do with it, his petition for justice for his daughter Brooklynn will remain at the forefront, locally and break through nationally, until he and his family receive the redress they deserve.
The Democrat Meltdown Continues
The Democrats, firmly stuck in their doom loop and infused with TDS, are mostly bystanders in this drama.
That all of these lives were snuffed out due to incompetence and (in my opinion) arrogance is infuriating.

Kansas Supreme Court Tosses Lawsuit Against Gunmaker
The Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act was created to prevent lawsuits like this from ever moving forward, and it's a shame that despite the PLCAA this litigation has likely cost both companies a substantial amount of money in legal fees to defend themselves against this now-defunct junk lawsuit.
BBC's Gaza Journalist: 'We'll Burn Jews Like Hitler Did'
Deporting violent illegal alien gang members is beyond the pale--pure Hitlerian. But actually praising Hitler's genocide?
That's objectively fine. At least according to our elite media.

WHAT'S ON TAP?
Today on Capitol Hill...
Alright, now they're really back. The critters have 25 meetings and/or hearings on the calendar for Tuesday. Here is just a sampling (I've highlighted a couple that look particularly interesting):
- House Financial Services, Financial Institutions and Monetary Policy Subcommittee — Regulatory Overreach: The Price Tag on American Prosperity
- House Oversight and Government Reform, Government Operations Subcommittee — “Tracking Progress: Updates to DoD’s Financial Management Scorecard”
- House Natural Resources, Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee — Oversight hearing titled “Exploring the Potential of Deep-Sea Mining to Expand American Mineral Production.”
- Committee on House Administration — Full Committee Hearing: “Why the Wait? Unpacking California’s Untimely Election Counting Process”
- Senate Veterans' Affairs — Hearings to examine bridging the gap, focusing on enhancing outreach to support veterans' mental health
- House Oversight and Government Reform, Economic Growth, Energy Policy, and Regulatory Affairs Subcommittee — “Made in the USA: Igniting the Industrial Renaissance of the United States”
- House Financial Services, Capital Markets Subcommittee — Exposing the Proxy Advisory Cartel: How ISS & Glass Lewis Influence Markets
- House Oversight and Government Reform, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Government Innovation Subcommittee — “Unlocking Government Efficiency Through IT Modernization”
- House Oversight and Government Reform, Military and Foreign Affairs Subcommittee — “Securing the Skies: Addressing Unauthorized Drone Activity Over U.S. Military Installations”
Of course, some of the big news on Monday was Rep. Gerry Connolly's (D-VA) rather unexpected announcement that he'd be stepping back from leadership and won't be running for reelection in 2026, as his cancer has unfortunately returned.
Also, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) reintroduced the aptly named Pelosi Act, aimed at barring what amounts to congressional insider trading.
White House What's Up
President Donald Trump had a busy day on Monday, including meetings with House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and the Philadelphia Eagles. Tuesday, he marks his 100th day in office by winging to Macomb, Michigan, to deliver a speech. RedState will be live-blogging the event (set to start at 6:00 p.m. Eastern — be sure to join us for it.
Full Court Press...
Big day at SCOTUS as not only are they hearing oral argument in two cases, but they're slated to hand down some opinions. The cases set for argument are:
- Martin v. United States —
- Whether the Constitution's Supremacy Clause bars claims under the FTCA — a federal statute enacted by Congress — when the negligent or wrongful acts of federal employees "have some nexus with furthering federal policy and can reasonably be characterized as complying with the full range of federal law."
- Whether the FTCA's discretionary-function exception bars claims for torts arising from wrong-house raids and similar negligent or wrongful acts by federal employees.
- Laboratory Corp. of America v. Davis — Whether a federal court may certify a class action when some of its members lack any Article III injury.
We will, of course, keep an eye on the decisions handed down today and report on those (and they'll get a rundown in the next installment of the Skinny on SCOTUS, as well.)
On a side note, as of right now, the trial of Sean "Diddy" Combs is set to begin Monday in the Southern District of New York. That should be...interesting.
And lastly, I feel compelled to apologize for running out of steam Monday night and not getting an Evening Docket published. What I can promise is that the Tuesday evening edition will...have that much more to talk about.
COMING ATTRACTIONS
Not only is SCOTUS handing down decisions on Tuesday, but they've also indicated they'll be handing some down on Wednesday as well. Looks like they're aiming to keep us busy (which isn't a bad thing).
There are plenty more hearings and meetings in store on the Hill this week — we'll be keeping tabs on those, too.
MORNING MUSING
Obviously, the big focus this week — and particularly today — is on President Trump's first 100 days (back) in office. They've been an absolute whirlwind, that's for sure. And much like the bouncing goat (or GOAT) below, he seems to have boundless energy. He's got 20-plus years on me, and I get worn out just trying to keep up with him (much like, I hear tell, his predecessor — I kid, I kid).
I checked into his first 100 days by the numbers and found this fairly impressive rundown:
- He's signed 142 executive orders
- He's reversed more than 100 of former President Biden's executive orders
- He's signed five bills into law
- He's drawn over 200 lawsuits (my handy-dandy spreadsheet is up to 250 and is far from comprehensive)
It got me to thinking about what I've accomplished (work-wise) in the past 100 days (aside from scrambling to keep up with all of that — particularly the lawsuits). Well, here's one measure: I've written 195 articles here at RedState in that time. (This one will make it 196.) Of course, I have several colleagues who've far outpaced that, but I'll just note that we've published north of 3,700 articles as a site in that time and, statistically speaking, I've edited and/or reviewed roughly 2,500 of those. I'm no Donald Trump, but I — and we — stay pretty busy. (And my thanks to our regular readers who help give us a reason to do just that!)
