Kamala Harris Is Clearly Burdened by What Has Been

To sum up, choosing Kamala Harris as their nominee for president is yet another bold strategy by the Democrats. We are going to have to see if it pays off for ‘em.

Ted Cruz Cautions GOP About Underestimating Kamala Harris

Cruz continued, saying he was worried that people were "overconfident" at the RNC. He said that now is not the time for celebrations; those will come after Election Day.

Rep. Mike Waltz Gives Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle No Quarter in Oversight Hearing

Given the furor directed at her over the failures and lack of accountability, I suspect Cheatle's days (hours?) as Secret Service Director are numbered.

White House What's Up

While speculation runs wild as to the well-being of the purported leader of the free world, the only thing on President Joe Biden's Tuesday calendar is traveling from Rehoboth Beach to Dover, Delaware, then back to the White House, where he's set to receive his Daily Brief in the afternoon.

Full Court Press...

The Los Angeles Superior Court system is expected to reopen Tuesday after being out Monday following the Crowdstrike IT outage.

MORNING MUSING

On Sunday (before Biden's dropping out announcement), I mused about Democrat me. Today, I'd like to talk about Control Freak me. It's taken me nearly 56 years to begin to come to terms with the fact that I can't fully escape my control freak tendencies (and the attendant anxiety they fuel — or that fuels them). But I have gotten a little better at learning to steer into the skid. It's why I've adopted this as my go-to meme/gif for the foreseeable future.

In a sense, maybe I'm embracing my inner Kamala, learning to be unburdened by...what has been...or what will be...Que sera, sera.

LIGHTER FARE

As I noted to Roxanne on Twitter, I expect she's going to be busy the next few months...
