#1 - Joe Biden Suffers a Total Eclipse of His Shame As He Bumbles and Fibs in Wisconsin — by Bonchie

Come hell or high water, Biden is going to make sure you have to pay off someone's gender studies degree. He couldn't care less that only a small minority of Americans have student loans or that there's no constitutional mechanism to reappropriate funds to selectively forgive individual debt.

As my colleague Becky Noble opined in her broader piece on the topic, this is all about buying votes. Biden thinks that he can overcome his current electoral deficit by dangling tens of thousands of dollars in "free money" in front of voters. He might be right, but there's also a chance working-class Americans who didn't run up a hundred grand in debt without a plan to pay it back could revolt.

#2 - Biden's Bizarre Moments at State Dinner, and the Surprising Things Guests Said About the Election — by Nick Arama

Biden was asked if he had a message regarding Iran's threats on behalf of Israel.

He responded, "Thank you all. Appreciate it." Does he even know what's going on? Or is he just deflecting?

He's also a bit out of uniform -- why is he wearing a regular tie? Also, how typical of D.C. that the police sirens are so loud in the background.

State dinner guests included Apple's Tim Cook, actor Robert DeNiro, Amazon's Jeff Bezos and his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez, as well as former President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary Clinton in a billowy caftan. She looked like she was wearing a tablecloth or perhaps a tent. I think it's safe to say what Sanchez was wearing was not a billowy caftan—I'm not sure what it was, but it sure looked an awful lot like Fredericks of Hollywood lingerie.

#3 - Pro-Hamas Student Gets Expelled, and You'll Need a Cigarette After Reading His Thread on It — by Bonchie

The overblown sense of self-importance that these activists have is unintentionally hilarious. How is shouting at people on an American college campus "fighting for Palestine?" These people aren't accomplishing anything. They aren't helping anyone. They are seeking attention because they lack any real purpose in their lives. Petocz is a text-book case given he once proudly announced online that he was quitting his job at Publix because the grocery store chain wouldn't denounce Ron DeSantis.

So what did he get expelled for? According to Petocz, he was just staging a peaceful "sit-in." The truth is a bit more complicated.

#4 - Democrats Have Been Panicking About Joe Biden. Now, They're Panicking About the Senate. — by Joe Cunningham

Democrats are worried, and there are two recent, though seemingly unrelated stories, that show the Democrats aren't just worried about Biden, but about the Democratic Party as a whole this November - particularly where the Senate is concerned.

The current Senate map is extremely unfavorable for Senate Democrats. The most vulnerable of their numbers are up for reelection, including in Arizona, Montana, and Ohio, which are considered "toss-up" seats. Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin are also up for grabs, currently listed as "Leans Democrat." Overall, polling for Democrats across the board - from Joe Biden on down - is bad, and there are still some signs in the economy that things could get worse.

The first story that appears to be a sign Democrats are worried is Chuck Schumer tabling the Alejandro Mayorkas impeachment trial.

#5 - Vandy Student Arrested After Pro-Hamas Sit-In Has Ties to the White House, Muslim Brotherhood-Linked Org — by Jennifer Van Laar

The 19-year-old is no stranger to campus discipline, though, and has a long history as a semi-professional agitator. His evolution and its timeline are interesting and instructive when looking at the various astroturf protests around the country.

It started in 2020 when young Jack was irritated by a local school board member who was, in his opinion, "recklessly tweeting COVID misinformation" right after his family had been infected with the virus. He was so irritated that he started the Recall Flagler County School Board movement, but quickly turned his focus toward advancing radical agendas.
