Good morning, and welcome to RedState's "Morning Minute" — a brief glimpse at which stories are trending at the moment and a look ahead at what the day may bring. Consider this your one-stop shop for news to kickstart your day.

Whoops: Chinese Doctor Who Paid Hunter Biden a Million Dollars for 'Legal Services' Wants Refund
But now according to a new report, Ho just sent a legal letter to Hunter threatening to sue him if he doesn't give the money back, because Ho says he didn't get any legal work for the money.
The Fani Willis Scandal Is So Much Bigger Than Trump
There's no excuse to let her off the hook. Trump should not factor in any decision of whether to go after her or not.
Today's Reminder That No Matter How Much You Hate the Media, It Isn't Enough
The Newsweek article is another sad example of using a tragedy to push an agenda that has nothing to do with the story.
WHAT'S ON TAP?
Today on Capitol Hill...
No hearings on the schedule for Monday, but there's sure to be continued discussion regarding the funding bills — the six unveiled Sunday and the six that are due by March 22nd.
White House What's Up
It may be a quasi-quiet day at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, as well. President Biden spent the weekend at Camp David and isn't due back at the White House until Tuesday.
Full Court Press...
Hold onto your hats, friends — the Supreme Court is expected to issue its opinion regarding the case involving former President Trump's removal from the Colorado ballot on 14th Amendment grounds — ahead of Tuesday's primary. However the court rules, expect two things: 1) RedState will bring you full coverage; 2) a lot of people are bound to be Big Mad with the decision.
Over the weekend, Trump's legal team filed their Memorandum in Support of the motion to stay execution of the $83.3 million E. Jean Carroll verdict pending resolution of post-trial motions.
As the March 25th trial date for the New York "hush money" case filed by Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg, expect an uptick in news regarding those proceedings.
Of Primary Concern
We're on the eve of Super Tuesday, and while much of the focus will be on the presidential primaries, there are some key congressional primaries taking place, most notably in California, where they're holding their "jungle primary." Keep an eye on the race for the U.S. Senate seat formerly held by Dianne Feinstein until her passing in September (and held since by Laphonza Butler, who's not running) — former Dodgers first baseman Steve Garvey (a Republican) could pull off a surprise upset, though he'll still have to face off against (likely) Adam Schiff in November. Some of the congressional races in California could prove interesting as well. Things could be interesting in Alabama, too, compliments of redistricting. And there are congressional primaries in Arkansas, North Carolina, Texas,
MORNING MUSING
On this date, in 1913, the U.S. Department of Labor was formed. I'd suggest some sort of celebration, except the DOL is about to implement the Independent Contractor Rule on March 11th.
This 2024 Rule uses the Fair Labor Standards Act to reinterpret the distinction between employees and independent contractors and would adopt a six-pronged test with vague and open-ended requirements to tear down the independent contractor business model, eliminating the freedom of flexibility to call one's own work hours, what work one chooses to take on, and whom one chooses to partner with in that work. This would be a nationwide standard that has no exemptions.
So, in honor of same...
