Perhaps more than any other time since President Trump's second term started, recent events have confirmed to me that masculinity is back.
For starters, we have the U.S. men's hockey team, which brought home the gold in spectacular fashion against the Canadians and made us all proud - well, those of us who didn't reach for the smelling salts over the fact that the guys clearly love America, love being part of the men's hockey brotherhood, and many of who couldn't have cared less about any blowback they received from woketivist "reporters" for being unapologetic fans of Donald Trump.

They gave him the seal!
Yesterday when Connor Hellebuyck was holding this lectern plaque on the plane, I thought he was posing with it.
Looks like they might actually have given it to him!

And who could forget the American heroes who were awarded distinguished medals from Trump during the State of the Union address Tuesday night? I mean, when you hear the term "a man among men," these are the type of guys who unquestionably fit the bill:

Relatedly, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the Camelback Moving Company heroes and the QT security guard hero whose quick thinking and decisive actions helped save a young Arizona girl who had been kidnapped two days prior.
I wrote about it on Wednesday, but for those who missed it, watch how it all went down - complete with the driver of the moving truck casually taking a bite out of a sandwich (donut?) and some sips from his coffee cup before moving to block the pickup truck the suspect had been driving. The police arrived moments later, and the little girl was rescued safely:

These guys are living proof that not all heroes wear capes.
Last but not least, though it wasn't a recent event, talk of masculinity takes me back to when Vice President JD Vance came to Concord, NC, to express support for law enforcement.
It was a month after Iryna Zarutska's murder, when her case had gone national after the horrific video that had been taken on the Charlotte light rail system of her stabbing death was released. An emotional Vance talked of his own baby girl and how he hoped that she didn't have to grow up in fear of something like that happening to her. He also spoke passionately about the need for men to stand up for girls and women in this country (abbreviated version of his remarks below):
"I have not seen the video from start to finish. I had to cover my eyes for part of it because it was so gruesome."
"Maybe I should just stare at it. Maybe all of us should stare at it, to know the kind of people we are fighting."
"What happened to her was really, really disgusting. And I think it comes from a deep and dark and evil place that exists, thankfully, in a very few number of people."
"If you are a man – I don‘t care what skin color you are, rich or poor. But if you are a man and you see the pleading eyes of a girl looking up for protection, we have to protect our girls and our women in this country."

What I've writing has been "percolating" in my mind for the last few days. But imagine, to my delightful surprise, reading the comments to the story about the heroic moving company guys and finding the following gem of a comment - shared here with permission of the one and only OrneryCoot - in which I felt Mr. OC had stepped into my brain and put my thoughts together in a way that made perfect sense:
Those are men doing what men are supposed to do: protect women and children. That is what our biological imperative is: it is one of the primary reasons that men are given traits like decisiveness, fast-twitch muscle fibers, greater strength, and all the other things that biologically make a male a man. It is also what God intended when he created men and women. Our role is to lead and to protect.
Those men were acting how God designed them to act. Every one of them are prime examples of the positive aspects of masculinity. Feminism and other leftist ideology adherents have spent countless hours and treasure trying to destroy masculinity, labeling it toxic. Glad that they failed to sabotage these men. If any of them aren't married, I would wager that there are plenty of good, sensible women out there who would snap them up in a heartbeat!
Couldn't have said it better myself.
America is back. And so is masculinity. It's about time.
