Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D) can yell all they want about the ICE presence in their state and how it has allegedly contributed to a "climate of fear." But the fact remains that the current operation has netted dozens of the worst-of-the-worst types of criminal illegal immigrants, including child rapists and murderers.
Those are the type of violent thugs who would still be on the streets to victimize innocent American citizens if sanctuary Democrats like Walz and Frey, and their fanatical supporters, had their way.
As RedState has reported, the anti-ICE harassment and violence in Minneapolis has intensified in the aftermath of the incident involving agitator Renee Good, who hit an agent who was taking part in an immigration enforcement operation with her Honda SUV last Wednesday, resulting in shots being fired, which left her dead.

One thing members of the Trump administration, including DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, have been quick to point out amid the back and forth over what happened is that the incendiary rhetoric of Walz and Frey (and other Dems) towards immigration enforcement agencies has contributed to emboldening people into believing they are doing the right thing in targeting, harassing, doxxing, impeding, and/or in some cases, assaulting these agents who are doing their jobs.
Walz, for example, has previously called ICE "Trump's modern-day Gestapo." Frey has basically accused the ICE agent who was hit and who fired the shots of murder.
In a Fox News interview on Monday, Border Patrol commander Greg Bovino talked about what he called an "operation of contrasts" between how their enforcement operation in Louisiana went compared to the one in Minnesota:
"As you know we just got back from Louisiana ... This did not happen in Louisiana. Violence did not happen in Louisiana .... but we're here in Minneapolis, let me give you a statistic here. Well over 20 assaults on federal officers in three days here in Minnesota. In Louisiana, I counted one for that entire 30 day operation."
"I can only think that Governor Walz and ... Mayor Frey ... they are responsible for what you saw in that store yesterday and the violence that our federal officers confront every single day in Minneapolis."

If we've said it once, we've said it 1000 times. When you repeatedly equate law enforcement officers with "the Gestapo" and suggest they are being led by a Hitler-esque murderous dictator, the law of averages says some people out there are going to take it upon themselves to rid the country of such allegedly evil people.
We've seen it play out with the attempts on Donald Trump's life during the 2024 presidential campaign - one of which was nearly successful, we saw it play out with the assassination of TPUSA co-founder Charlie Kirk in September, and we've also seen it play out with the attempted armed ambushes of ICE/CBP facilities.
Sadly, I fear it's only going to get worse.
Editor’s Note: Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
